Travel | 36. Bus, train, whatever…Exhausted.
This post describes the transit from Mongolia to China via train and a sleeper bus.
In the sleeper bus, I ran into this girl that I later met at a club in Beijing! What were the odds for that to happen?!

Once again the travel was interesting and different, to say the least. The people in Mongolian train are very different than in Russian ones. Little bit rude and almost hostile. That was a little disappointing. It only took 17 hours so we were at the border quick enough.
Once done with the tedious border formalities, it was time to look up a train to Beijing. At this point, we were joined by a German couple, Anna and Stefan. Of course, there were no trains today, so we needed to settle for a sleeper bus, which made our companion Elise less than enthusiastic.
The bunks were in three rows and made for Chinese people, which meant there was just enough room for me to sleep comfortably. And I did. Most of the 16h ride.
We arrived in Beijing around 3.30 am, which was the worst possible time as we didn’t have a place to go yet. Nor were the subways operating. Luckily the locals protested and refused to move while the driver was yelling at us and turning on the music really loud. Eventually, he gave up and lay on the floor of the bus to catch some sleep. 6.30 we were ready to go and find a place to stay.

Consider it as unpleasant experience that are quite common to the travelers specially around the third world countries.
I wouldn't agree it's very common, at least not to me. It happens from time to time though, you know, people are people. Most of the time people have been very nice to me :)
