Bayanzag Cliffs were best described as kind of a mini Grand Canyon.

Our resident geologist Greg told me that the red colour comes from iron, which when I think of it, I already knew.

On our way back, we stopped at an abandoned tourist camp, which was pretty nifty to me. Notice the place where showers used to be, along with tiles and plumbing. The hut was used to warm the water.

Before we knew it, we were in a rainforest.

A restaurant in Dalanzadgad we had our last meal in before taking the bus-from-hell back to Ulaanbaatar. Greg was smart (and wealthy) enough to take the plane back. We would meet him back at Ulaanbaatar Curry House, our designated rendezvous point.
