Which religion is unique?
Christianity is the only exception.
Apostle Paul wrote, in Ephesians 2:7-10, that we are saved by two things.
7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
First, by grace, as Jesus Christ, who is God, our Creator Savior, took our place.
Second, through faith, when a person joins in that.
Saved From what?
Depravity, sin, from the bad things we may do.
We need Jesus because we are not perfect.
Perfect according to who?
If Jesus is the Creator of the universe, then according to Jesus.
The creator, maker, would be the rule maker.
If there is no God (Jesus), then this does not matter.
However, regardless of whether or not God is real or not real, the principles, the virtues, the way of life, the ten commandments, the golden rule, the Proverbs, the wisdom, the red words of Christ, the history, the poetry, the revelation, and all the things of the Bible, are still beneficial in our lives in making us better, stronger, smarter, happier, and everything.
Beneficial, either way.
Real or Not, Here We Come
God helps us even if God is not real.
Each person can choose to ask Jesus to save them, even if there is no God.
Because the principles, philosophy, helps either way.
It is a win-win situation.
When we die, either we die, then, or nothing happens.
If there is a God, and you didn't sign up to join his team, you lose.
You can register for God's website, and that can be your insurance, backup plan.
Are we born evil?
People are born innocent but not good.
What is good?
If there is a God, then good is defined by God.
Good is an alignment to God's rules.
If there is no God, then what is good?
Either good is defined objectively or subjectively.
What is darkness?
Darkness is the absence of life, I mean light.
What is evil?
Evil is the absence of good.
Maintain Your Salvation?
Bible | Eternal Security
The Bible says we are saved by grace and through faith. Romans 6 talks about how we can sin even after getting saved. We should not but we can. Hebrews 6:6 talks about a hypothetical situation, if we did get unsaved, then Christ would have to come back down to earth and die a second time to save us again.
Die on the Cross Again
If anybody were to lose and then later reacquire salvation, then wouldn't that mean that Jesus had to or would have to sacrifice himself again on that tree cross?
The Salvation Army | Works Salvation | Doctrine #9
We believe that continuance in a state of salvation depends upon continued obedient faith in Christ.
Saved to do Good
You can ask Jesus to make you a new creature. That is how you are saved. First, know that there is a problem, that you are not perfect. Second, ask Jesus to save you from that. We are not saved by doing good. We are saved in order to do good. We can have Hope Over Dope and Joy Over Circumstances.
Hope Over Dope
Joy Over Circumstances
Joy comes from a foundation, a security, in something eternal, everlasting, which comes from Christ. When we ask Jesus to save us, we enter into an unconditional covenant that cannot be broken. Unconditional love is without condition. The love of Christ transforms and renews people.
Christianity is the only religion that says you do not have to earn or maintain salvation. Many people tend to think and believe and feel and say that salvation must be earned and kept, which means they may have missed what John 10:28-30 says, that nothing can pluck us from Jesus, from God, including ourselves as we are not stronger than God, are we?
