if the shoe fits...
i see so many in such a hurry
to get attention from @curie
i think they're all sucking up
to gain sbd and fill their cup
now i'm an old anarchist who
will just keep doing what he do
for sucking up is just not me
and what will be will be
money not being my internal driver
i wont suck dick for a fiver
cause my intrinsic motivation
is just not an sbd fixation
and if curie think my work
is truly worthy of a perk
and put an upvote in my wallet
maybe make me go like a comet
or gain me some follows or a resteem
it won't even make me cry or scream
i will simply reply with a thank you
because to myself i'll always be true

Agreed! A lot of people suck up to those in a position of power, but I always appreciate those that are true to themselves. There is a saying we have here in the states, "real recognize real." I see you, too ;)
Thanks man! I saw it for a while now, but today i got so sick of it so decided to write some about it. I also have decided to immediately block anyone begging for upvotes on Discord. They just contact me and drop a link and demand an upvote... I wont name names :D Keep real bro!
They know who they are!!! I've had a similar issue, especially after I started doing music curation for @poeticsnake lol. It's like hey, that's not how you engage with people! You keep keeping it real, too

Well said. I'm still pretty new to Steemit, but I keep hoping there is a way to do well here simply by posting good content. So far though it seems like you have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get anywhere. And if I do that then I have less time to write.
