Coincidence?

two strangers a coincidence
just a cursory introduction
this really just an incidence
of a relative frequention

conversation in a coffeeshop
over strong tea and a joint
me flying like a turboprop
the weed doesn't disappoint

sharing many a good story
on an enjoyable afternoon
it's also very transitory
really all just opportune

Australia six years later
outback down there in oz
looking like an alligator
there once again he was

over twelve thousand miles
and years and years away
with more laughs and smiles
we filled another ashtray

said goodbye the second time
'we'll meet again' you joke
it's written in cosmic rhyme
a third time we will smoke

that third time was today
me just walking down town
and you were shouting hey
so stars didn't let us down

now was it all coincidence
or written in the stars
if we mind due diligence
next time we meet on mars!
