Steemit Poets United : Daily Dose Of Poetry and Prose #24 (24 is an open door edition)
hello to all, be it morning, evening or afternoon
this daily dose hasn't reached you a minute too soon
today it's my honor to present the fruits of #poetsunited
a freshly budding collective that has many delighted
.
now at eighty three members, still small, so be gentle
but will one day turn out to be a steemit fundamental
so donate time, like i give it mine and help it grow
and be positive with your feedback, to aid in their flow
.
this now the twenty fourth issue of the "daily dose"
features poems and subjects to their hearts so close
this is just a humble selection, there are many more
so hands up for our finest, let them open up the door
@mah7 starts off with a poem called "almost silence"
it's about soldiers, khakis, family and indifference
about cadavers a dying innocence and becoming killer
I sure advise you to you read this great poetic thriller

poetry, images, sounds of birds, though not a vulture
are the ingredients for this exciting sensory experiment
together make a surprising mix that's very excellent

@sammynathaniels, the third appearance in this issue
about family did almost make me grab a box of tissue
it dedicates his love for our awesome steemit family
and succeeds doing this, without me feeling clammily

the fourth poem it's my real honor to present to you
is about dancing the night away, forgetting as we do
every trace of depression and pain, just for tonight

the fifth poem i'd implore you to read is by @udezee

just by proposing that what you sow is what you reap
