One photo every day: Church of Asikkala (288/365)

Hi again!

Today I drove to the Asikkala parish in Vääksy, and shot some pictures of the huge old church there.

Here's one:

The Church of Asikkala

Camera body: Canon EOS 550D
Lens: EF-S 10-18mm ƒ/4.5-5.6
Focal length: 10mm
Aperture: ƒ/9.0
Exposure: 1/100 s
ISO: Dual-ISO 100+200

The main church of the evangelical-lutheran parish of Asikkala, designed by Georg Wilenius and built in 1880.

But um... the lighting was very bland so I decided to present this photo in black and white. I'll probably post other photos later, I'm still editing them.

This works well in black and white so it doesn't really matter. It gives away the feeling of the church being old anyway

This church is very old and strong with imposing presence of a warrior. This is very different from the usual catholic style which is more ornate!
This is built like a castle!

Are you sure it's safe to go inside? It's like a devil living there.
Have to prepare my cross and holy water!!

It's a security bunker against the devil. Whether it's safe to go inside depends on which team you're on.

It is a good quality photo of the architecture of the church, the temples can be a good resource for nice shot, really cool work it looks very high and has a lot of bricks :D @gamer00.
