From the next day began the usual working days. We got up early, cleaned ourselves up, had Breakfast and went to our jobs.

Robert with a closer acquaintance was quite a nice person, interesting and inquisitive interlocutor. I learned a lot from him about the flora and fauna not only here, but also those planets where he was able to visit.

I, too, in turn, found a lot of useful information for him, which I gladly shared with him.

On the first day, Robert introduced his new employees to the plans of research, which to my great joy were and forays to the planet, visiting unexplored corners of the wild.

But the main work had to be done in the laboratory and in the greenhouse.

Day went after day, we worked tirelessly, but have not yet achieved the desired result. To tell in detail about what exactly we are doing in our research, it makes no sense. For the inexperienced reader the story about it will not be of any interest.

And to be honest, I started to get tired of the monotony of this work, I wanted something more, I wanted to quickly be in nature.

In the midst of a series of gray everyday life occurred in our lives and joyful event. Finally, we met with his tribesman, who returned one morning from a trip to the aboriginal village.

It appeared to be... our radio operator Peter Freestyle, Joker, Jolly, the soul of the company. As it turned out, here, on this planet, he was not alone. Together with him here was our chef Lee.

  • Can you imagine whether it is possible to prepare dishes of taste and quality from local products that do not differ from earthly ones? We use every opportunity given to us not to eat in the local catering, and enjoy your favorite dishes of our cuisine.

  • Although, I must admit that local chefs also cook well, - he added. - Today is the last working day before the weekend. I suggest we get together in my room and celebrate. I think each of us has a lot to say about what happened to him after the shipwreck.

This day seemed to me the longest we've ever spent on this planet. I was distracted, several times made, albeit minor, mistakes. Robert even made me a note, offering to get together and not be distracted by extraneous thoughts that have no relation to research.

Finally evening came, and I relieved had left the lab.

My comrades were waiting for me in the common hall. We stopped at a local bar, bought a couple of bottles of strong wine and went to visit Peter.

We have not yet approached the door of room Peter, as caught the smell of fragrant treats waiting for us.

As soon as we knock on the door, she immediately opened, and on the threshold there was our radio operator, who hugged each of us and invited to go to his modest home.

However, it wasn't as modest as its master wanted it to be. It was evident that the upgraded housing with the expectation that live in it will take a long time. Peter managed to get somewhere beautiful furniture, decorate the interior of the room so that it felt cozy and warm.

From the kitchen came the ringing of dishes and someone's muffled baritone quietly cursed at himself for awkwardness and sluggishness.

By voice, we immediately recognized the chef of our ship Lee, and soon were able to see his round, moon-like face with a wide, satisfied smile.

He spread his arms wide and walked towards us, smiling happily.

We welcomed each other, clutching in our arms, unable to keep from meeting tears of joy.

Then we helped Lee set the table, surprised by the dishes prepared by his skillful hands.

  • God, what are you making? - not in forces to contain admiration, I asked, pointing to an exotic look a dish. - What is it?

Lee, pleased with my such a violent reaction, literally blossomed in a smile, smoothed his curvy mustache and said:

  • We're here with Peter once went hunting and found a small colony of animals that looks a lot like our rabbits. A few of them were killed, and a couple were taken alive, arranged for them something like an aviary, and now we have no problems with meat.

  • They also, like rabbits, multiply quickly. The only inconvenience is when we have to leave for a long time. We have to hire one of the neighbors to take care of our Pets while we are not at home.

  • What's that on top of meat? - Arthur asked.

  • These are local nuts that taste like almonds. They give a special flavor and aroma to this dish.

  • What's that? - don't remained in side and bill.

  • It? Very tasty salad, but to tell you the recipe, I will not keep it secret, ' smiled Lee. - I now will present you another dish from seafood and local fish, very biter, but tasty,and let's sit down at the table, here you will not be fed fairy tales!

We sat down at the table. Peter on the rights of the owner spilled by glasses of wine and gave a short toast for the meeting.

Then we started our meal and until we had satisfied our appetite, no one said a word. Sin was distract from so refined dishes, prepared our Lee.

After satiating, we drank a Cup of coffee and began to talk about those adventures that fell to the lot of each of us. And we a story to tell...
