"Here's to you grandma St. George's Day", I thought to myself. Here's an uninhabited planet, hungry for solids. Interestingly, our electronic dictionary to cope with the unknown to the dialect? And developed if they have???
We have made a step in the direction of the savages, but they immediately took a fighting position, uttered a guttural cry. The look on their faces was evil... Inevitably we were horrified by what he saw, but I decided to try to talk to them. The faces of aboriginal people at first surprised, stretched, then they began to look at each other, gesture and make noises.
I made a delicate movement to set the interpreter, but there was a painful catch. The translator really starts to get crazy. Some words he translated, but entire phrases, to extradite them failed. Had to try at random...
When I again tried to speak with them, on the faces of some of them appeared surprised expression, but it became better. On the contrary, they paused again and began to approach us, surrounding from all sides. We had nothing except wait for further developments.
Approaching forest people signaled to us that we walked with them into the woods, where, apparently, was their village. We in any case did not resist, the forces were clearly not equal. What could make two unarmed (gun was in the backpacks, we had to use during the campaign) against the crowd of angry natives?
Even while we are unable to send an SOS to your friends. Could only hope for the best that we can contact the ship. We moved on, we again waited for the unknown... Our way was short-lived, they could not make us happy. If we can escape, we will not have far to run to get to the clearing where we are connected.
We came to a small clearing and saw about two dozen natives, at the head of which stood a tall white-haired man. Despite his advanced age, he looked quite strong and muscular. Apparently, this was supposed to be the leader of a savage tribe.
The look on his face when he saw us, was not sinister, rather puzzled, because not only are we different from the people of his tribe in their appearance and clothing, but the fact of the appearance in their district the aliens put him in a stupor. Until that time, he and his tribe, if met other people, they were no different from them.
Leader some time staring at us, and then a sharp, guttural voice gave some orders to our guards, and they began to push us closer to him. When the leader was about a meter, we were forced to kneel down and worship him. Discomfort, but what can we do? Bare hands against the armed savages, no dispute.
More time passed when finally, the leader again gave a sharp order, we got up and were given signs to understand what the leader wants to talk to us. I quietly turned on the translator and listened to the sounds uttered by the leader.
