Description
Learn how to use Autodafe's BPM Clock module
As we create our music we are going to need to have a precise means to set our tempo. BPM Clock is one way to do this.
BPM Clock lets us set out tempo with the up and down arrows at the top of the UI. The left set is out coarse adjustment the the right is out fine adjustment.
Once you have set your Beats Per Minute you can use the gate outputs below to output the exact metric division you require.
The jacks under divide will take the tempo and divide it by the number indicated. Multiply column will multiply by the number indicated.
How to use Autodafe's Keyboard module and the use of the V/OCT function
Autodafe has created a very useful keyboard interface for us. Keyboard can be used to specify pitches via the V/OCT output. Connecting this to a VCO's V/OCT input will cause the VCO to output its waveform in the frequencies played on the keyboard.
The V/OCT of volts per octave is a Frequency Modulation standard. The amount of volts passed though a Control Voltage line indicated the pitch that is to be played by the receiving module. Each note on the keyboard is assigned a specific voltage amount.
The keyboard can also be used as a Gate for triggering gated events.
How to use Autodafe's LFO
Autodafe has provided us with a simple LFO for our set up. In a previous tutorial we studies the Fundimental LFO-1 and LFO-2.
VCV Rack is an open source application, which means that it is free for everyone to use. Please consider going to the developers' website and show your support for the project - http://www.vcvrack.com
