Description
Learn the purpose for LFO-1 and LFO-2
Oscillators create waves. LFO-1 and LFO-2 are oscillators like the VCOs. Unlike the VCOs, LFO-1 and LFO-2 are not meant to be heard. LFO-1 and LFO-2 are control oscillators. The waves they create can be used for a variety of functions in modular synthesis.
How can an LFO use Control Voltage to manipulate other modules
As LFO-1 and LFO-2 creates various wave shapes these wave shapes can be used to manipulate things. As an example, and LFO's wave can turn the Frequency Modulation of a VCO up and down. If the wave shape is a sine then that change will be smooth. If the wave shape is a square then the change will be abrupt.
Consider that the waves made by LFO-1 and LFO-2 are pulses. As we change the frequency of the waves the pulses increase and decrease. This can be used as a clock.

LFO-1 and LFO-2 have many of the same features. Later in this tutorial I will indicate some of the differences.
How can multiple Frequency Modulations can be used.
LFO-1 has two Frequency Modulation CV inputs. This allows you to have two separate LFOs manipulate the Frequency of LFO-1. This can create some very interesting and unpredictable paterns from LFO-1's output and in turn, very interesting results in the modules it is controlling.

What is Frequency Modulation
As previously mentioned, VCOs produce waves. All waves have a frequency. When we alter the frequency of a wave being produced by an oscillator this is referred to as Frequency Modulation. VCO-1 and VCO-2 both have a manually controlled knob for adjusting the Frequency. VCO-1 and VCO-2 can both have the Frequency Modulation controlled via Control Voltage. This is done through the FM jack and can be accomplished with a number of modules. In the video tutorial I demonstrate using the LFO.

What are the four wave types
LFO-1 and LFO-2 can produce four wave types: Sine, Triangle, Saw, and Square.

These can be outputted via the four output jacks on the LFO-1 and the OUT jack on the LFO-2 in coordination with the WAVE dial on the LFO-2 UI.

Thanks again @ewq. All the best,

Not sure what's better: your tutorials or your Perry Rodan sounding name ;) - good stuff! - you should also upload the videos on dtube to give them more exposure and rewards
Thanks @multi4g. I appreciate that :) I would love to post on dTube, but YT still have some features that I need, but are missing in dTube. There will come a time when I will be uploading to it, but I am not able to just yet.
Cheers,
Bucky
You can upload to both sites ;)
