Steemit Open Mic is an online, live music venue to give musicians a chance to share their music with the Steemit community and get their music heard. It is growing larger every week thanks to all of you.

      Regards! I would like to know if it is possible to participate in Steemit Open Mic only with audio playing covers with guitar? I want to participate but unfortunately I do not have adequate video equipment. Or, otherwise, I would like to publish my musical interpretations in the comments, even if it is for the other participants to know and support me.

        Open Mic is for playing a live performance. You can record it on your phone camera. You need to say Steemit Open Mic Week (current week number) and you username right before you play a musical instrument live. This way we know it is you and was made for this contest.

            You're welcome to share it with the community. Open Mic is a live music venue for people who play musical instruments. Just like playing live at a club for an Open Mic event.

            Still, building community is what we're all about so feel free to share it but if it's not a live performance it won't be considered as a valid entry, the main reason we keep it live and have people say Steemit Open Mic Week (current week number) and their username is to keep it real. So many people steal videos and try to pass it off as themselves. This is the only way we can be sure it is them playing for specifically this contest. For that reason, a prerecorded performance is not a valid entry for the purposes of this contest. Thanks for understanding.
