Rushing to get this week's openmic in before the deadline, didn't have time to work up a solo... next time...
Before there was desegregation in the US there was "Hound Dog". Originally recorded by Big Mama Thornton in 1952 the version I present today is based on Elvis' 1956 version.

Dude this is great. you should record some bar ambiance and put some in the background. Just the sounds though not the smells. That would be a bit distracting.
The dog was frequently depicted in Greek art, including Cerberus, the three-headed hound guarding the entrance to the underworld, and the hunting dogs which accompanied the virgin goddess of the chase, Diana.

Wow!, fantastic vocal delivery but the guitar sound was kinda dirty for me even though i know it fits this genre. But it was beautiful in totality. Great strum..
