The Classics Never Die - Elton John
One thing I find with the classics is quite often some of the songs I enjoy the most actually come from people who are not exactly my cup of tea.
Not that they are bad people of anything like that, but rather that we don't seem to have much in common at all.
They seem so different to me, yet their music is a common bond which brings us together.
There are many artists who are rather out there. Yet for all their flamboyance and quirky ways they are able to unite people.
They have become like legends.
In a way I have come to know these artists very well, although we have never even met face to face.
The classics never die, but they can be forgotten and sometimes your introduced to something you absolutely love.
I have had some interesting feed back in this series.
Here is some feedback I received from @mightpossibly
That's some nice songs!
I've never listened to a single David Bowie song before - these were some solid recommendations.
I have also received lots of great feed back, and interesting trivia from @mgood who is very knowledgeable on the classics I love.
The group, Dr Hook and the Medicine Show, wasn't very well known but they came out with a few hits.
I'm surprised they play their songs "down under".
Here is some feed back from @cheese4ead about my Pink Floyd post.
You know you won my vote at P!! 😂
Meddle was my choice for my most influential album in my challenge but Wish You Were Here is my favourite closely followed by Dark side of the moon.
The Wall freaks me out and Roger Waters lyrics are a little depressing. I still think its special though and I remember being transfixed on the artwork too. Comfortably Numb is technically an 80's track too!! Run Like Hell is a cool live track.
Awesome. Thanks @thevillan
So lets continue on with my series, I want to share another couple of my favorite tracks.

☠️ Rocket Man ☠️
This is one of the absolute classics from Elton John.
Rocket Man is almost guaranteed to get some air time on the Saturday night jukebox.
The song represents the space age, which was a monumental turning point for our civilization.
I'm a space lover so I guess it's no surprise I like this track.
I really like the way he sings this song.
☠️ Bennie And The Jets ☠️
Here is another classic from Elton john.
I love the way this song has been composed, sounds really good. He sings it really well too.
This is another track which will usually get some air time on the jukebox.
Elton john didn't think this song would do very well, but I think it has turned out to be one of his best compositions.
The way he sings kind of has a bee gees feel to it.
☠️ Daniel ☠️
I also really like this track from Elton John.
I find it has a really soothing melody to it. The song also has a really interesting storyline to it.
The song is about a Vietnam war vet.
From Wikipedia
"The story was about a guy that went back to a small town in Texas, returning from the Vietnam War. They'd lauded him when he came home and treated him like a hero. But, he just wanted to go home, go back to the farm, and try to get back to the life that he'd led before.
I have added these tracks into Villans Saturday Night jukebox Mix for you all :)

hey friend this time you went right on a big piece!
Elton John was definitely a great singer/songwriter. His song to me usually have a sad undertone to them. But they do hit home.
You left off his most famous song "Your Song".
@thevillan Classic music is best, there is no replacement of classical music
