This app is a real life saver for anyone who has dietary restriction and preference (especially while traveling!) I use it everywhere I go!
Free Version:
If you grab the free version you can open the app, search around you (by distance) and even filter what you want to find by category: vegan, vegetarian, veg-options and stores+more. Restaurants are rated by users with reviews and pictures so you can check it out before you get there!
Want to find something ahead of time? Know where you're going but not where you want to eat?
The app allows you to search anywhere, no matter where you physically are and still filter by the same criteria! (It makes planning ahead a breeze!)
The Upgrade:
The upgraded version costs $3.99USD and offers extra features such as "Trips" where you can add in travel and save your searches to your selected list for later! (The free version has favorites but they are not organized!)
My verdict:
I love this app and recommend it to anyone looking for a healthy meal, no matter where you are!
- It's easy to use
- The free version gives you access to all the documented food around you
- Review scores help finding the right place
Since I am 1) vegan and 2) a wandering gypsy this app goes everywhere with me, keeping life healthy, happy and easy!
Would I recommend paying for it?
Just to support the developers, sure but I really don't find the upgrade to be anything worth spending the money on a part from that. The free version gives you everything you need to find your way to that delicious meal!

Happy Cow is GREAT!! Even if you're not a hard-core vegetarian, per se, it can be super useful on the road in Asia to make sure you don't eat some nasty food-poison-potential 'thing'. Anything that enables people to be more plant-based is awesome. :)

I just found Happy Cow within the past week and have already used it to find some great places to eat while on the road. I travel so much and typically just subsist on those little pretzel and hummus things you get from the gas station. With Happy Cow, I can put that life behind me. Yay!

i love this!! such a great idea! and it will only get more and more useful as more is added to the system. imagine this worldwide - it would make healthy eating so much easier !
Traveling as a raw vegan makes eating out so much easier - I treated myself with the upgrade and can no also use the extended search for organic juices or the desired raw options in restaurants all over the world. Love it! 💚
I love Happy Cow, last year I used it in New York City and found so many restaurants/cafes I wouldn't have found without the app. It's great to have something like that while traveling! :)
