c0ff33 vlog 24th March 2018 The Road Warrior 🚙💨 - with me @c0ff33a ☕️

in #vlog7 years ago (edited)

It's Saturday - and that means it c0ff33 vlog day with @c0ff33a ☕️ 👈🏽 That's me! It has been a relatively steady week this week, after spending another Saturday writing up last weeks Vlog, we had even more snow so Sunday I bravely decided to stay indoors rather then drive on the snow covered roads.

The raw text of this post without images can be found here https://jpst.it/1cL9_ for easy translation into your own language.

Sunday was a good day to catch up with jobs around the house, but not going outside also made it a little more difficult for me to come up with something for #SublimeSunday - fortunately I have an extensive photograph back catalogue in my iCloud so with the help of a few #FunkyEdits I managed to pull something out of the bag. We had some wonderful posts using the tag this week though, @lymepoet treated us to a snow filled walk which contained a real covering of snow - not the powdery dusting I get. @smartphoto continued to amaze me with his Photo Editing Skills with this statue that looks so very familiar - I don't know how he does it. I enjoyed some wonderful beach views by @maruharraca and discovered the beach had a very naughty name 😳 and then I enjoyed a family day out with @mcoinz79 who looked to have a great day for his Brothers Birthday. And @old-guy-photos shared some tasty eggs Benedict during an amazing journey of a day including lunch at the Clinton Inn and a walk that included an incredible photo of a wooden pier. Finally I took a swim in the sea with @hazem91 which sounded decidedly chilly to me. He had been busy though, with a Steemit meet up and while still finding time to a rest in a coffee shop with a friend.

@snowpea came up with a clever idea for a challenge Love it or Shove it where you list 5 things you like and 5 things you dislike. It's spread incredibly quickly, I got tagged in by @saffisara in her challenge post and then it kept growing and growing. @thekitchenfairy did her own post which was really creative fun, and then I learned alot from this post by @redheadpei which presented a fascinating insight into her. It's hard to think of who has not done this challenge - I really enjoyed this one by @felobtc as well. And one of the most comprehensive of these posts has to be this love it or shove it by @warpedweaver a fascinating read featuring snakes and bears! I was impressed with the photo's of each love in this post by @askmee . And @baby07 came up with some inspirational ideas including reading books in her love it post @snook made her own post quite unique, with amazing banners and text breaks . It's amazing how little ideas like this can really take hold and grab everyone, it's really impressive and I have enjoyed reading many people's posts for it.

Tuesday I was out all day driving for work, leaving very little time for Steemit although the driving footage at least did make for an interesting dashcam post At least while I was driving I had some good music to listen to - @sweetscience had a special St. Patrick's Day Mix set up so I enjoyed listening to that on the way, it was funny in places where he dropped in voice samples from leprechaun in Alabama news cast. Well worth listening to his radio shows if you get chance. I also went back to @cygon post with the Electro Swing Beats such great music, it's a shame he has been too busy working to post recently though. And of course the gif loving musical genius that is @avesa continues to blow up Steemit with his original music - this track Brownies features his very own vocals - when he is done he will release the full album on Steemit - I can't wait for that one.

Wednesday was therefore a day of catching up after my Tuesday out, that meant plenty of work to do and not so much time for Steemit. I did manage to take a trip to the other side with this Grave Encounter post by the formidable vlog star @crazybgadventure who is producing some amazingly lengthy posts right now. And talking of vlogs, this life is stressful post by @mikesthoughts reminds us that life can be full of ups and downs - but it is how you step up to the challenge that defines you. And I caught up with @carmalain7 the writing and poetry master who seems to be taking over Steemit with Poetry - this piece Fear and Loathing in the United States of America is excellent and is part of a 100 day Poetry Challenge - a Poem every day - I can't even manage to come up with 1! I then discovered about being a Vegan, or a partial vegan through this reasons why veganism is the future post by @moonunit - it's quite an educational post and well worth reading. If you are into deep reading Contectual Thinking by @tibra taxed my single brain cell to the limit. I did however enjoy a trip to the farm by @alvinauh - and can appreciate his apprehension of taking long journeys. I have also discovered contrasting experiences can lead to appreciation by @zen-art , a very thought provoking piece of writing about how the negatives we come across help us find and appreciate the positives.

On Thursday I had the video footage to edit and upload for my trip to Wales post, leaving very little time to get around to the constant flow of Steemit posts. But a little time is all I need, diving straight in to enjoy Bob Marley painted in coffee by the incredibly creative @huslein.slash - quite amazing the quality of art he can produce painting with coffee! I love Bob Marley and this picture of him really impressed me. Always look on the bright side of life sang Eric Idle in Monty Python's the life of Brian - and in Bright side of life the Steemit powerhouse that is @nainaztengra helps us realise that life isn't really a piece of 💩 when you look at it. Taking #FunkyEdits to a new level, this Photo Manipulation post by @tygertyger is a real gem - layering multiple different edits of the same photos to create one new unique picture. For inspirational words and poetry you do not have to look further then Glass Houses by the incredibly talented @battleaxe.

By Friday I was pleased to see this wedding venue Market Friday post by @deadgrlsuppastar it's been some time since she was well enough to post so it is good to hear she is a little better at least. If you want to Tone Up for summer then this work out post from @aussieninja has some great tips for your gym routine - made me feel tired just reading it. I throughly enjoyed this poetry reading video - you all really need to watch this one. @steemflow gave me a fascinating insight into using mud as mortar very interesting read this one with some good demonstration pictures. Catching hold of a bird can be a tricky job, so I was impressed to see @fishyculture with this bird in the hand. This wonderful wooden bench photograph by @longsilver reminds me of the ones you find in many of the woodland National Parks of the UK - sturdy and reliable. And benches have been a popular theme @deerjay shares some lovely benches in a park with fascinating bird outlines in the background.

You can't think of Friday without #MarketFriday and this weeks kicked off with some Incredible coloured flowers pots and flower photography by the lovely @dswigle she has just hit dead on 2000 followers as well - congratulations! I love reading through all the post that use the tag, so fascinating to see like this Precious Thai Gold by @hangin some incredible photography of so much Gold it is quite unbelievable. There is a market for anything, this art market by @vee2180 is incredible to see all the artists work on display in the open. And then you can enjoy Angels and Gnomes by @icybc. And for true American Mega Mall this Market Friday from the master of photography @tattoodjay can not be beat. I could go on but I need to start wrapping this vlog up!

This week's charity section is a little short on action, I have not had chance to get around enough posts to check out. But of course charity accounts like @youarehope can only do they great work they do with help from donations - Steemit provides a unique way to support charity you can simply upvote their posts and support that way - it really does cost you nothing. And if you have any little to spare you can easily send a donation through your Wallet. Of course it isn't just people that need help, @rhondak runs a wonderful charity account called @tarc which is a dog rescue charity - anyone who has owned a dog or know people that do will be aware of the unrequited love and joy they can bring. But they are also a big commitment in time and money, sometimes people can not keep up with it and they get abandoned. It's a terrible shame, and supporting rescue charities like this that will take them in and re-home the is a big step toward giving them a brighter future. And for a personal favour I would love you to show some love to this (Black and White Photo Challenge}(https://steemit.com/sevendaybnwchallange/@crisangel/seven-day-black-and-white-challenge-day-06) by @crisangel the rewards from this post go towards helping him upvote and support new entries to #thealliance

And this weeks vlog journey has reached it's end, another steady week for me this is of course by no means every post or account I have visited - I would love to include every one but this post is a day in the making as it is. I like doing this format though, apparently it's a "curation" post but for me it's a way to recap on the posts I have visited and also make sure I keep up with my favourite regular posters. Sharing the content you enjoy on Steemit is a wonderful way to help connect people, maybe one or two people will read this and find a new account sharing content they like from it. If you look at my Blog, it might appear like I post every minute of the day - my resteem level has reached such incredible levels even I can't find my own posts amongst everyone else's. Sharing is caring though, my entire account has stopped being about me - and grown to become a focal point for content - it's still the content I like and enjoy, but if you are every looking for a new post or account to find it is only a quick scroll of my blog away. One final post to close with Google's blockchain will change everything interesting points by @maxabit I wonder if the new trend of browser hashing will extend to google.

And now for some shameless self promotion, it's been a turbulent few weeks in the Steemit world with Steem valve dropping along side other crypto's - most of you I am sure feel like me that riding the waves of market value is part of the course - our investment in this platform has to be long term - the value has risen before and will again. It's been hard work for me though, I invest a large amount of my earnings into Delegated Rented SP - the price is the same whatever the Steem Value is - so low value and lower post rewards has made it a struggle to keep paying for that SP. Many will wonder why I bother - 33 Steem could be just be powered up - but renting 1000 SP for a month with it makes my upvote much bigger and that makes a big difference - not so much benefit for me but when I upvote it has a bigger impact on the posts I support.

>

It's been costing me to keep up the delegation renewals this week, but I always say this a hobby not a job for me personally - the rewards are not just monetary it's enjoying quality posts and sharing time with the amazing virtual friends I have found on here. I have come a long way - and it's all thanks to every single one of you that take your time to upvote my posts, and leave such wonderful comments on them. So many comments in fact I am still two posts behind replying to them - I always do, it might take a while but I do my best to always remember when people take the effort to leave a comment on my post to reply to them.

First, I have to say I just love this post! So much information and it was never boring! I also appreciate mentioning some of those challenges that look really interesting!

Second, I love what you said here "I do my best to always remember when people take the effort to leave a comment on my post to reply to them." I am new to Steemit (About two weeks in) and I just LOVE to see people that have as many followers as you do and as many comments as you have on all of your posts, still take the time to respond to the people that reach out! :)

It is a breath of fresh air to know that people that are established on Steem and have put in the work as a minnow still appreciate when people comment and enjoy their content! :)

Anyway, rant over... I love this and I can't wait to read more of your posts!

Of course an upvote and a follow from me

Thank you very much, I appreciate you taking the time to read my post and leave such a comprehensive comment. Comments are my thing, I spend a great deal of my time visiting other people's posts and commenting on their work - comments to me are the biggest advertisement you can give your own blog - they always remind people who you are and give you the chance the poster or their readers will look at your blog. Replying to comments, I just think that is polite to do when people have taken the effort to leave them.

Dude, two words "line feeds" - I have been reading since I was 5 years old, some 45 years now... but this was a blur of scroll and blinding blocks of text brother. Stick some white space in there. I honestly gave up about one page scroll in... it's blinding bro :)

But it's real nice of you to shout out all those people! I will try to digest it again, but it's rough slogging down through all that...

On the positive side, the drive through Wales video totally flashed me back to my 2 weeks there in 1994.

You are of course as always spot on, this is a work in progress and every week it evolves a little more. Currently I do the text and links - share the plain text for easy translation and then fill out with the images and gifs. Exceeding 12 hours to put it all together - the fancy get's a nudge just to get it done and posted. I keep trying to learn and improve - but this is a post about the people I enjoy not so much about how beautiful I can make it.

beauty is in the eyes of the beholder you don't blind trying to behold it :P <3

Great job putting all of this together @c0ff33a!! This is amazing and thanks for the mention! So many people are doing the challenge and I'm so psyched!

I'm wondering, where do you rent your SP? When I go to the @blocktrades website, I don't see the option. I'd like to do the same, not even sure how much it costs or where to get it. Thanks! :)

https://www.minnowbooster.net/lease you can actually choose how much you pay and for how may weeks - but leasing Steem Power is competitive so if you bid too low chances are you will not get a lease and have your bid returned. Around 120 Steem per week should get you a lease, the default starts at 150 but I don't think I ever got a lease at that rate - the people renting like to earn money!

😱 Did you just say 120 STEEM per week??😱 I'll have to take a look, thanks @c0ff33a! :)

Sorry, that was not fully complete - it is 120 Steem Power PER 1 Steem per week.

That sounds much better! Lol! 😂 I thought what you said before was too much! Thank you @c0ff33a! 😃

Whoa! Thanks so much for the shoutout! That's so super nice of you! This is amazing. I'm not sure why you're driving, but I love it. It looks so Englandy.

Thank the very much, it all started with my video vlog - doing a vlog you need piece and quiet to concentrate and talk - while I’m driving is the only time I get to myself any other time there are people at work or family at home demanding my attention and breaking concentration. So I vlog while driving - normally to or from work. When I came from YouTube to here my vlog turned into my week on Steemit - so it’s a mixture of the video vlog and all the blogs and posts I have enjoyed on Steemit - it’s a lot of work but I enjoy it.

I always enjoy your Vlog posts on thew weekend i have no idea how you find the time to put together such a comprehensive post

Keep up the amazing work yuou do on here my friend

Thank you very much, I just dedicate my whole Saturday to it. Well I do a bit of washing up, cook some food, tidy up and deal with family requests - but mostly I spend Saturday bashing away at my keyboard!

That’s dedication 👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks @c0ff33a. You put a lot of work in these posts and really good stuff. Still trying to get used to that "wrong way" driving watching some of your video:)

Thank you very much, I appreciate you calling in and leaving me a comment. It’s always interesting comparing different driving aspects, I’m sure our roads are a bit different as well.

your car vlogs are cool to watch thanks for sharing your this

Thank you very much for taking a look and leaving a comment.

Thank you for the mention, and for the "always look on the bright side" song that is now stuck in my head... again... And I just got it out of there yesterday... Not cool man, not cool :D :D :D

Thank you very much, I’m pleased you enjoyed looking through my excessively long and badly formatted post ! I have a thing for ancient comedy shows and films, that is always going to be a hazard when I am around. It’s a great song to hum along too though! I appreciate you taking the time to leave me a comment.

Looks like a great day you had thanks for sharing your adventure

Thank you for taking a look at my post and leaving a comment.

Love it / shove it... I LOVE how you interact with SO MANY PEOPLE, in real ways! Snow in March? SHOVE IT!!! Lol! Thanks for the shout out, and all the support. You are quite inspiring, I must tip! my hat to you!

Thank you very much, it’s my week on Steemit and the blog posts I have enjoyed reading. It’s a lot of reading as a post goes, and it might be a bit boring unless you are really interested in finding new and different content from varied creators. It takes a long time to put this together, but it’s fun and helps me remember and revisit my favourite creators and enjoy new ones. Thanks for always taking the time to look at my posts and leave a comment :-)
