A long long Sublime Sunday

This Sunday I had to make a quick run over the border in order to meet up with two of my old friends who couldn't get the visa for Canada.

Since I had to be there at 9 a.m., I had to leave home early morning.

Seeing the ice on my windows did not inspire me to go out in the freezing cold, but I had no choice as I wanted to see my friends.

I checked my phone to see the temperature outside and saw there were only minus 22 degrees Celsius.

"Spring is coming! Is right after the corner!" I told myself while I was getting ready to leave the house.

As soon as I stepped out of my building, I felt the biting cold. Luckily the remote starter worked and it was already warm inside the car.

I stopped at the duty free shop for a few minutes.

Guess what cought my eyes while I was looking for some ice wine? Chocolate, off course!

As much as I love chocolate, I had to let this one go and say no to its political flavour. This was the only time when I said no to chocolate!

When I got home in the afternoon, I had to wait fifteen minutes in the car for the snow removal vehicles to clean my street.

Half an hour later I was back outside, heading to the park with my little one. It had stopped snowing and the sun came out.

I was glad the the park was only four blocks away because my energy levels were low.

My son was thrilled so see the piles of snow in the park.

Twenty minutes later he was ready to go back home.

We met with Mater on the way.

Once we reached home, my son wanted to clean the snow on the balcony and make a snowman.

I agreed to clean the snow but he had to do the snowman all alone, which he did.
