What Will I Learn?

• You will learn the functionality of Sonus' Chainsaw module.
• You will learn how to alter the wave shapes of each oscillator.
• You will learn how to alter the pitch of each oscillator.
• You will learn how the function of Align control.

• The software application VCV Rack installed
• Access to the Internet
• An account created on www.vcvrack.com
• Fundamental plugins installed
• Sonus Modules plugin pack installed

Description

Learn the functionality of Sonus' Chainsaw module.

Sonus' Chainsaw module is a very nice VCO. This module gives us three saw-based waveforms which are played together. We can modify the shape of each of the waveforms as well as the frequency.

Learn how to alter the wave shapes of each oscillator.

There is a simple dial which allows us to alter the shape of the each of the three oscillators' waveforms.

Learn how to alter the pitch of each oscillator.

The module gives us three dials for modifying the frequency of each of the three oscillators. This detuning can produce some very exciting frequency beats and timbres.

Learn how the function of Align control.

We are given an Align button on the UI which synchronizes all oscillators with the first oscillator.
