[Short Story] - Feet as soft as fog - 5MinuteFreewriteChallenge
The fresh snow had put a great load on the roof of our house and even clogged our chimney overnight so I decided to go and clean it first thing in the morning.
I got the ladder from the basement, alligned it properly, called my wife to hold it just to be extra safe and climbed on the roof. I wasn't afraid of heights, but climbing that ladder sure sent chills down my spine. It was rocking all the time and no step felt as stable as I would have wanted it to feel.
I got to the top and congratulated myself for the good work. I decided to wave down to my wife when I suddenly slipped and slid over a meter and a half and fell over the edge of the roof.
I yelled at the top of my lungs when I hit the floor.
Fortunately, it too was covered in fresh snow so it made the impact a little more bearable. Still, I hurt my back badly; but declined the ambulance when my wife offered to call. I was able to stand up after all.
After arguing a little with my wife about my condition, we finally agreed I was to go for a thai massage to help me with the pain in my back.
She drove me to the local Thai massage parlor and I can't tell you how good that felt.
The woman walking on me weighed around 120 to 130 lbs and I'll admit I could feel every pound of her weight very well. But oh boy, her feet. I could swear they were, as silly as it sounds, as soft as fog.
Ding. Time is up.
in the comments below leave me a clue,
an idea for a story you'd love to read,
a journey to the unknown my keyboard will lead.

More fuzzy warm feelings? I didn't sign up for this! There's only so much I can take! haha :P
Thank you for the kind words; I'll be happy to write a story or two for you! ;D
This was wonderful!! I love how you got the prompt in!!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D
I loved the way you inserted the prompt on the story. Well done :-) How's your back now?
Thanks! I'm glad to hear you liked it! :D
My back... Sore from the gym :p The story is fiction nevertheless. I'm not married, don't have a house, nor did I fall from the roof. :p Thank you for the concern tho! :D
My wife gives me one of those massages occasionally when I talk back to her, as soon as my breath comes back I apologize. she is kind enough to help me up and straighten the kink in my back by giving me a quick knee to the gut. I've learned to exit gracefully without bleeding on her carpet, that would be a bad thing. 🙄
Yep. This kind of massages are a real pain while you're getting them... But after a while when you stop being sore... it feels awesome! :D

Glad that it is fiction. I don't like heights at all and could feel my stomach turn as your character is climbing up. YOu certainly invent a wife and a kid often in your stories lol

In the last few I'll admit, I really do, and deliberately so :p I'm not married myself, nor have children, and most of my stories didn't include a family character... So I challenged myself to write family style some more :p
No worries; I'll introduce something a little different today.... As soon as I get home :P
No worries at all. I like that you can make it so believable. Looking forward to more 🤓
