Manaia : The Continent of Primeria
The Eastern most continent in Manaia is known as Primeria, and has a reported population of around 6 million.
Some of the wealthiest people in Manaia reside in Poshe and Yazira, with the remainder of Primeria being largely occupied by a community who follow one of the most ancient religions in Manaia - Decideism.
There is no single ruler of Primeria, with governance achieved through a committee of 300 elected bodies, who propose legislative changes that are then decided upon by an elite council of 13 members.
Accessing the mainland of Primeria is all but impossible without invitation, with much of the coast being lined with steep cliffs and the remainder hidden beneath a sizeable wall with battlements all around. The wall is said to have taken the best part of three centuries to complete. The only entrance points are the heavily guarded ports, which are fortified with gates that only allow sanctioned vessels to pass through.
Some in Manaia believe the inland kings and rulers to be under the thumb of the Primerian council, exalting the Eastern continent and its rulers as the true power in Manaia, as opposed to Euchao as the majority believe.
Primeria was not always occupied by the Decidians, having once been home to a thriving community of Amanists almost five centuries ago. Following a brutal war that lasted a decade, the majority of the Aman community in the Eastern continent were killed, while some fled North on ships and took refuge in the cities of Zanach and Anakai in the Wetlands.
The Primordial Temple in Mekhen is one of the largest structures in the seven continents, with pillars of gold so tall and so thick that at the right time of each day, its reflecting surface can cause the shimmering sea between Euchao, the Wetlands and Primeria, to appear as melted gold from a number of locations.
The southern island of Siya is owned entirely by a wealthy family of traders. The island hosts parties on occasion, with the wealthiest and most important people in Manaia attending. There are many rumours as to what takes place at the Phoenix family's events, but none have ever been substantiated.
