Manaia : The Mysterious Continent of Kafa
The population of Kafa is unknown to any but the Kafars themselves.
The region consists mostly of marshlands and deep swamps, making the area extremely dangerous for outsiders unknown to the lands to traverse.
Many rumours exist surrounding the inhabitants of the lands of Kafa. It is said by some that they are cannibals, and by others that they are a cursed race of man-lizard hybrids. Others still believe them to be the progeny of Slaekin, the antagonist of many religions throughout Manaia.
The continent's position in relation to the path of the sun results in short days and long nights all year round.
An ancient and magnificent fortress is known to have existed in the antiquated city of Kalor, where a great warlock once ruled over the entirety of southern Mania from. It is unknown whether the fortress still stands as so few have ventured that far south since the deluge that flooded the lands, and the ones that have tend never to return.
Even the wolves that number heavily in the south seem to avoid the continent of Kafa and its marshes, stirring further rumours that whatever still breathes down there is best avoided.
