Inktober Day 31 The Final Day! A combination of three final words.

in #inktober6 years ago

Today's final #inktober uses all three final words in a way.

The entire piece:

In many ways Alice considered her sister Agnes her Double and in appearence they were twinned.
However, one could say Alice steered more towards the dark side of things and was often willing to give her sister a Jolt now and again.
Alice was a Slice of her father, the Dark Lord, for certain. They both had a penchant for a good serpant

I am both sad and happy to see the end of #inktober.

It has been the touchstone to a very busy month for me. It's black and white a soothing place to turn to. And my own self-imposed rules of Witch and Familiar gave a good grounding of sameness to a vary changeable month.

I started #inktober in America and am ending it here in England.

So, my characters have traveled quite a bit with me this month, from packing, airports, winding narrow British roads, to endless house hunting. At the end of each day I may have not had the time to intently draw, but I sketched when I could on my little microsoft surface I carried about with me.

Today my travel mates were off to pick up their new car they purchased the other day.

When they went for that original trip to look at cars, I and Ivan the dog were left with the airbnb to ourselves. I was able, then, to get out my wacom tablet and have a good sit down and draw.

As I knew today I should have the place to myself for at least half the day I started last night.

I used my little surface to begin inking a sketch I had come up with for the combination of the words double and jolt. I admit I may have played fast and loose with the last term, 'slice' but I think with my little narrative it works, don't you?

This morning then, after Ivan and I had our ramble, I put the kettle on and set up my little digital studio at the dining room table.

I have loved inking away today on this piece whilst watching the sun shine on English apples on the tree outside my window here. I cannot wait to have our own place and to set up a new studio.

I shall close here with good tidings to all of you.

As I really want to take advantage of the quiet of the house for Ivan and myself. I think I'll grab a book and another hot cuppa and read and dream out the windows, knowing I am again happily sat in my dear ole' Blighty.

And check out my other #inktober posts thus far (I know it's getting long, but I like keeping them together):

Oink oink, thanks truffle pig, I HOPE I get more votes, one always does. But, I'll keep plugging away making my art and chatting away regardless :)

A strong end for the Inktober month, Donna. Congratulations for participating and creating so many delightful witchy art :D.

I hope you will settle down soon and continue to show us your art ^_^.

Thank you @scrawly. I sort of hate to see the end of #inktober, don't you?

Boy, so do I, I cannot WAIT to have a house and settle down. We sort of have a place we chose but now paperwork, red tape...Oh well, one must remain patient. A good thing often takes time and is worth doing well.

Very cool and an impressive body of ink works! I love the expression of Alice on the right :)

Thank you so much @mountainjewel. I am rather proud of my #inktober works this month. Now, to do something with them!

Wow, this is such an incredible post! I love the piece of the two women at the top - and what a treat to scroll down to find so much more! Thanks for sharing.

Well thank you, I have been including all my previous inks as I liked seeing them all together :)

Thanks @artizm, I'm pretty pleased with my October inks.

Good job. It's a shame that inktober ends, I think it's the best month of the year for art.
