Inktober Days 19 and 20 combined "Scorched Breakable"
Today's ink contains two days words in an effort to stay on the #inktober track.
And the entire piece:
Hellena wasn't having the grandest of days.
Having mispoke her incantation, she was now thoroughly Scorched.
Now add to that the folly she was feeling in having a goldfish as a familiar when her second attempt at a spell resulted in the animal's Breakable world shattering into bits
All one could do was have a cig and live to cast another day
Combo words might be my saviour as the month continues on in my attempt to try and stay on track with #inktober. Yesterday was spent packing and organizing lists and also trying to get some other artwork done. Busy busy, is the sing song mantra of this October.
Are all of you finding this month a busy time as well?
When I considered both of the words from yesterday and today, I imagined all sorts of scenarios, but they would become more and more involved and I had to tell myself, make it more streamline, as you haven't all day today to ink. Yet, I am glad for it.
This busy month my black and white drawings have been the touchstone of my days to become centered.
Having many things to accomplish in a short amount of time always needs a sort of magnet or focus to keep you on track. This month's inking and having that simple act of considering a word(s) in the framework of 'witch and familiar' has been like a meditative phrase.
Sat in a pile of clothes folded or strewn about in the indecision known as "packing", makes the drawing table and the world of black and white seem a good hiding place for a bit of the day.
If I cannot continue daily (which is becoming apparent) at least I can look forward to it throughout the rest of this busy month.
Now, let's share another great #inktober piece today by our fellow Steemian @cutthruyou who has some great inking with colour to boot. So, why not go check him out right here.
Have a lovely day and if you haven't ink yet, give it a try.
And check out my other #inktober posts thus far (I know it's getting long, but I like keeping them together):
Inktober Day 14: A combination of two words "Skeleton Clock"
Inktober Day 9 "Precious Spider Baby" A drawing from two ideas.
inktober day 1: Poison. A Month of Witch's with their familiars

Cool smoking woman
your series is one of the bests <3
This is an interesting combination of the words, Donna. I hope this witch will get a better day tomorrow, she looks totally done.
I think it's a genius idea to combine words, especially since you are actually still drawing other artworks and juggling other stuff that you need to do. I hope you also put down some chill time in the weekend though ^_^.

Those strange little stories really add something in al their dreaminess.
Awww, it is always a bit sad when incantations don't go the way they are supposed to ! But I think she will be resilient, this witch ! :) I like how the water and fish spills out, the fluidity is nicely done <3
