The Help My Dog (Floppy) Challenge: Day 37 - $117.27 of $5,060.00 - Please Upvote / Resteem / Donate Directly!!!!!!
Hey Everyone,
My dog Floppy had successful back surgery on Friday 12/22/17. He is in recovery and he is going to be ok, we got great news from the doctor on 1/31/18 during his most recent visit to his vet!!!
Unfortunately, these unexpected expenses have hit my family very hard and I am turning to the Steemit community in an effort to raise funds to pay for Flop's surgery. Every Upvote, Follow, Comment, and Resteem will help me out, and any straight donations would be straight up awesome!!!
All of your kind words & support have been amazing so far and as you can see, it is growing by the day, so thank you so much!
Below is the picture of Floppy when he just got out of surgery and the blog started, and the pic that usually appears in the feed each day when his scar was the newest. Below that are pictures of Floppy's scar from 1/20/18 & 2/1/18... it's healing so well!!!!
...Amazing, right?!?!?! The Doctors really did a sensational job! Still no hair growth yet but I imagine in time.

DAY 36 UPDATE
Happy weekend! If you've been reading my blog, you all know that Floppy gets to spend more time with us on Saturdays and Sundays. Lucas woke up at 4am (ugh) with a fever. He slept in our bed until 6am and then we were ready to start the day. Flop was excited to see us. He was also ready for a walk so I took Luey with me this morning.
After Floppy's walk Luey had breakfast and Flop had his treat. Luey wanted to play with Floppy after breakfast so that was cool, it gave me some time to do some steemit in the morning, which I don't usually have a chance to do. For some reason, even though Luey loves Flop, he is still scared of him sometimes for some reason...so when he is actually asking & wanting to play with Flop proactively, it's a rare treat!

After that, we went upstairs (without flop) to get ready to go to the gym. They have a child care area which is super nice so Vanessa and I are able to get an ice work out in. She does zumba and I do cardio on the machines and some weights.
Floppy dind't want Lucas to leave, he was enjoying play time so much, but unfortunately we had to put Flop in the kitchen and we were off to the gym for a bit.

After the gym, we got home and showered. Luey still wasn't feeling 100%, he had 100.7 fever, but his demeanor was still great so we weren't too worried. Luey had lunch before we went upstairs. He didn't eat a whole lot of it because he wasn't feeling so hot, but you all know who was happy to help...
When Luey woke up from his nap, we took his temperature, it didnt go up any further, so we felt ok taking him out for a few errands. We had to run to Publix(grocery store), and Home Depot because one of our lights burnt out. We also decided to invest $20 into a piece of wood to use as a ramp. Floppy jumped off the couch again and although it's not really hurting him in the moment (which is wonderful!), we don't want to make it a habit and want to do anything we can to prevent him from hurting his back again.
He did not like it at all! He was super hesitant and scared.
We hope he gets used to it because it really would help him out and take some stress of his back. I'm sure he'll learn but it will probably take time.
I wasn't able to get any more pics of FLop for the evening. We had to take Lucas to the 24/7 clinic because he said his cheek was hurting him and we were worried that he might have an ear infection (hence the fever). Flu season is just picking up in Orlando, there were so many sick kids there; we didn't get home until 1030PM (we left around 730PM)! Luey was exhausted and went right to bed. I took Flop out for a quick walk so he could pee and poop, gave him a treat in the kitchen, and called it a day. Let's hope that Luey wakes up feeling better and Flop has another great day!!!

We are now up to $117.27!!! As the Steem price grows and the site gets more awareness, I hope that I'll be able to turn my goal into a reality! It's been a down week in crypto but I'm hoping like everyone else that it's just temporary. Steem hasn't been hit as hard as some others, but I know it still hurts all of us.
