The Help My Dog Challenge: Day 17 - $47.95 of $5,000.00 - Please resteem / upvote / donate directly!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Everyone,
My dog Floppy had successful back surgery on Friday 12/22/17. He is in recovery and should be ok!!!
Unfortunately, this unexpected expense has hit my family hard and I am turning to the Steemit in an attempt to raise funds to pay for this surgery. Every upvote, comment, and share will help me out, and any straight donations would be wonderful!
Thank you all for your support, votes, resteems, and donations so far. Progress is being made, slowly but surely and my family is so appreciative!
DAY 16 UPDATE
Floppy had another great day! He started off the morning with a quick walk. I could tell he really needed to go to the bathroom because he was crying to get out a bit louder than normal. For your viewing pleasure, here is Flop inside just before the walk, and a couple of in action pics LOL
Vanessa, Lucas, and I went out for brunch around 11AM, but we actually left Floppy out of the crate for the first time! We put the gate up near the stairs so he wouldnt walk up, and moved our family room table up against the couch and repositioned a few pillows so that he wouldnt be able to jump up at all. I'm sure he was bummed we left for a bit, but also excited to be out of the cage as well!
When we got back, I took Floppy for another long walk like yesterday - I'd say about 15 minutes in total. We walked to the mailbox, a standard walk for him. It took a bit longer than normal, but I think it was good for him. It was quite the adventure as Flop saw the neighborhood cat outside walking around and started barking immediately.
It was difficult, but I tried to capture a picture of Floppy and how serious and attentive he got LOL
Vanessa made grilled cheese for dinner and if you've been reading my blog at all, you could probably guess that Flop was begging for it once again! Just like this morning, we left him out of the cage for dinner and said that we'd put him back if he started jumping up for food. He didn't, thankfully, and we kept him out the entire dinner, but it still didnt stop him from crying for the food of course.
Flop's demeanor is getting noticeably better, and it seems he is getting more and more energy, movement, and ability with each passing day!
