The Help My Dog Challenge: Day 15 - $34.92 of $5,000.00 - Please resteem / upvote / donate directly!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Everyone,
My dog Floppy had successful back surgery on Friday 12/22/17. He is in recovery and should be ok!!!
Unfortunately, this unexpected expense has hit my family hard and I am turning to the Steemit in an attempt to raise funds to pay for this surgery.
Every upvote, comment, and share will help me out, and any straight donations would be wonderful!
DAY 14 UPDATE
Today was our 2nd day in Tampa. Vanessa had a conference early in the morning, so Luey and I slept in until 8am. We started off our day taking Floppy for a nice 10 minute walk. Nothing too long still, but this was probably his longest walk to date! I'm sure he also enjoyed the new scenery. I hope he likes the hotel but who knows. We were also able to stop by Publix this morning and get him some new chewy treats, he was definitely happy. He ate a lot today, I had to fill up his bowl twice.
Floppy was a big hit in the lobby. There were a lot of students who were in town for the music convention who where staying at our hotel and they all loved seeing Floppy! He was very good while they pet him and I also explained to them why he has a big patch of hair off his back removed.
Floppy was also quite chatty today, every time a door opened on our floor, Floppy would be barking.
He also almost snuck out of the room when the cleaning service was bringing in new towels, but he didn't really get too far. He's not a runner anyhow, he's not the kind of dog who would ever wander off by himself without his mommy or daddy. He's kind of a scaredy-cat like that.
After the conference, the family took a walk through downtown Tampa (without Floppy) for about an hour. It started raining so the walk was cut short but I've included a few pictures.
Here we are in front of the Florida Aquarium...maybe next time we'll have time to go in!
The NHL All-Star game is coming to Tampa this year and they have banners all over downtown. Thought it was a cool photo opportunity.
We are leaving Tampa tomorrow morning to head back to Orlando, I'll plan on providing another post tomorrow evening.
