The Help My Dog (Floppy) Challenge: Day 18 - $48.06 of $5,000.00 - Please Resteem / Upvote / Donate Directly!!!!!!
Hey Everyone,
My dog Floppy had successful back surgery on Friday 12/22/17. He is in recovery and should be ok!!!
Unfortunately, this unexpected expense has hit my family hard and I am turning to the Steemit in an attempt to raise funds to pay for this surgery. Every upvote, comment, and share will help me out, and any straight donations would be wonderful!
Thank you all for your support, votes, resteems, and donations so far. Progress is being made, slowly but surely and my family is so appreciative!
DAY 17 UPDATE
Floppy had a pretty uneventful day, but it was another good day. I hope this isn't getting boring, there is only so much I can write about, so I am trying to keep it fresh and with new pics! Flop only took 5 minute walks today ( 3-4 of them). After yesterday's long walk, we wanted to keep today somewhat light.
He was out of the cage for most of the day again today while we were home (we were out of the house from 4pm - 7pm to take Lucas to see Ferdinand). He was on the floor for the most part as we really don't want him on the couch. Here is a picture of him doing what he does best, begging for food LOL:
I was eating a grilled cheese sandwich and pringles for Lunch. I didn't give him any of my sandwich, but of course he ended up with a few chips!
He did jump off the couch again unfortunately, but again didn't show any ill side effects. Still, it is definitely something we don't want to be a habit and need to do a better job of making sure he doesnt continue doing it.
When we got back from the movie, I took him for another walk:
Since we had a lot of candy and popcorn at the movie, we didn't do much for dinner. We made Lucas chicken nuggets but he hasn't been feeling well so didn't eat all of them. Lucky dog got 2 chicken nuggets for dinner and then we put him in his cage for the evening. I hope he has a great night's sleep.
Flop's demeanor is getting noticeably better, and it seems he is getting more and more energy, movement, and ability with each passing day! It doesn't seem like his hair is growing back yet, but hopefully that will start soon. He has been completely off medication for over a week now!
