Aki Takase (born 1948 in Japan) - Pianist and composer

Today I want to introduce a female jazz musician who travels along many paths with her music and constantly explores new worlds of sound. Trained on the piano, which she began playing at the age of three, she discovered jazz and was able to interact very quickly with a large number of well-known musicians. I can still remember one of her first concerts in Germany, it was at the New Jazz Festival in Moers at the beginning of the 80's, she inspired the jazz with her woman power in a completely new way. In the music examples, we hear duos, who represent their way of working with different themes and cultures. I wish you a lot of joy!

Heute will ich eine Jazzmusikerin vorstellen, die mit ihrer Musik auf vielen Pfaden unterwegs ist und ständig neue Klangwelten erforscht. Ausgebildet auf dem Klavier, das sie mit 3 Jahren zu spielen begann, entdeckte sie den Jazz und konnte sehr schnell mit einer großen Zahl von bekannten Musikern zusammenspielen. Ich kann mich noch sehr gut an eines ihrer ersten Konzerte in Deutschland errinnern, es war Anfang der 80'er Jahre auf dem New Jazz Festival in Moers, sie beflügelte den Jazz mit ihrer Frauenpower auf eine völlig neue Art und Weise. In den Musikbeispielen hören wir Duos, die ihre Art der Arbeit mit verschiedenen Themen und Kulturen repräsentiert. Ich wünsche viel Freude!
