One of the most mindbending and graphic twists on psychedelic trance that i have come across in recent years is the music of Martian Arts, psy producer from Greece whose sound is pretty much unique within the scene and still totally underrated.

His music is probably not for people just getting into psychedelic trance but more for the connoisseurs - his tracks are far-out, psychedelic, thick, colorful and dense. At times it can feel like you were in the middle of some classic old sci-fi vision of the 1950's painted in sound - with harsh colors and over-the-top spacy handwriting.

Think "Mars Attacks" and you get the picture- only translated into psychedelic music of the modern era with some profound challenges and discoveries on board.

I had the immense pleasure of enjoying one of his live sets at last years Antaris festival and this year I greatly missed him on the festival circuit hoping to still catch him play somewhere. It's music that speaks if one is able to decode the language, it's anything but random and highly conceptulized - especially for psychedelic states of the mind. It's such a mindbending journey that it literally took me 40 minutes to land after his hour-long set was over, I was that blasted out of my mind in a very VERY good way, feeling as if I had just returned from a proverbial trip through the universe on a vessel of sound, never quite seen or heard before.

If you dig psychedelic trance, and have a thing for its darker variants and nighttime styles you definitely want to check out this awesome set of his, recorded for Radiozora in 2017. I still listen to it often and it features some of his best tracks.

There's probably something to be said about having no better way to travel to Mars or anywhere near than through this music, it's an instant journey of the mind... if it is able to make sense of the launch codes...

Martian Arts is on beatport where you can browse all his tracks and support the artist. Mark my words, this music will be a trendsetter in the coming years for the whole scene ;)

since this set is only on soundcloud you will have to look for websites or programs that allow for soundcloud downloading. search "download soundcloud" or "soundcloud downloader" online and paste this link:
