If you are writing blogs on Steemit, you've probably tried out a bunch of different topics, but how do you narrow it down to find your true niche and see higher rewards.

The title of this section is called "DISCOVER YOUR NICHE" because you have to discover it. You don't just start blogging on Steemit and know your niche, you have to discover it.
The main thing when thinking of your niche is balancing out what you want to write about and what people want to read. Sometimes the post you loved writing didn't get as many votes as you would thought it would. Then some posts that you did quick turned out to be the best ones. You have to find the balance. Balance between what you want to write about and what people want to read.
Especially in the beginning you want to get as many people as possible seeing your work and connecting.
Never write about something you don't want to write about. Just write on things that interest you, but try a bunch of different approaches and topics.
For me, I like all kinds of interesting things, but it took a lot of posting and failing to figure out what people like the most that also balances with the things that I like to write the most. Now I have a couple of different niches that I enjoy writing for and have followers that appeal to the different things I write.
It took a lot of experimenting and mining before I discovered the topics that resonate best with the Steemit audience. I had to mine comments to see which posts were getting not only the most comments but the most engaging comments. Digging in to the replies is a great way to figure out if your work is resonating with the Steemit audience.
Also track using the tools explained in Day 17 to see which posts are getting the most followers for your account. You might learn that when you use the Steemit tag you are getting more followers than when you write blogs that fit the crypto tag.
Figure out what works best for you and what topics people respond to. Once you have a good feeling for what people like and have tried out a lot of different topics, figure out how to really maximize the ideas that work.
Find different things you can write on with the same tags and topic. For me, I started writing posts about world mysteries and the response was great. I kept writing them and people kept responding. I eventually had to go out and start learning about new mysteries in order to keep the content interesting. Now I try to write one or two a week and learn something new every time I write them.
Once you have a niche or two, don't stop there. Constantly try adding new content that is related and something you are interested in. Find new niches to write in and expand the content you produce.
Remember you have to DISCOVER your niche, you can't just pick it. Now go out and find you place!

Interesting endeavor. To add to day #18's theme about finding your niche.
Be sure you find a niche that you truly are passionate about and then accept whether that niche is big or small on steemit.
I post on personal finance and real estate (with some crypto mixed in). Those two niches are small on steemit. This can be frustrating as I haven't quite earned what some of my peers in more popular niches have even though we all joined around the same time a year ago.
However, I do know I would have burned out writing about something more popular that I am not passionate and well versed in. So which is more important in the end?
It is very important to write about what you are passionate about. It makes it all worth it. I started with some people that are making a lot more than me, but I also started in June when thousands joined and I'm doing a lot better than them. I'm sure you are doing a lot better than most. I think the best way to find your niche is trying to be yourself posting only things on which you are interested on.
In my case, the majority of the post I publish in steemit are about sports, in particular running, travel and cryptos as well. Regarding cryptos I'm a fan of BOINC and Gridcoin so I found a niche there.
I think the key is to post and comment on the topics you are interested on. Maybe at beginning you will not get success but at the end you will get for sure.

All the info you shared is very helpful and i have taken some into heart and will be applying it to my day to day steeming. Thanks alot!
I guess for my niche it would have to be a few things...Mainly Art and Photography. I was amazed that them two are at the top of the topics list so it was an easy way for me to engage and communicate with other steemians.
So far this month on steem has been the best one i have in any other social media that ive joined. Heck i feel like ive been here since day one :)

At the moment my niche is poetry but not in a traditional way: I'm reading the Finnish epic folklore poem collection of Kalevala on its original language which I then deliver as a series of short stories here on Steemit.
So I guess my niche could be called "reading poetry and transforming it into an easily understandable format".

Thank you, I will do. I really enjoy playing with words when planning dialogs within the poetry meter also used in the original Kalevala.
I am still learning my niche. I love to read so right now doing a lot of that and started a small steemmag about writers/storytellers. So i don't lose track of them.
I also like to take pictures, in particular of nature especially mushrooms, and was rather surprised to find that a lot of people like musroom pictures.

I am up to 4 issues now Astounding Steemit Stories, I profile a few Authors and have a running list on the page of who I have found to read. I also include "help" request from Authors and Story type contest when I run across them.
Writing within your niche is a good thing; but, the Steemit platform is filled with opportunities for learning and inspiration while interacting with a community of fellow Steemians.
There are many topics I enjoy writing about; but what brought me to Steemit was a newfound interest in crypto currency.
I agree, share what’s your primary niche; but, don’t be afraid to reply to posts of interest for attaining better knowledge.
