The critics are split on liking in, and which is why the audience loves it!

It took me a long while to start watching this tv-show, the only reason for this was that I read that the events in the punisher takes place AFTER he did alot of killing, and that was surely not what I expected. I wa expecting the origin story, but they didnt make it like that, apparently some of the origin story is to be found in the show DareDevil, where Frank Castles actions seams to effect that show (joint universe).

The Punisher is in DareDevil for about 12 episodes, so you could start out with watching DareDevil and then when the punisher episodes are done, then watch The Punisher, as it is sort of spinning off DareDevil. I did however watch The Punisher without seeing DareDevil, I could have used the story first ofcourse, but it wasnt needed in order to watch the show.

It did take me a couple of episodes to get a hang of The Punisher, maybe thats because it actually starts in DareDevil, but then it only got better and better, well the more killing the better. In overall this show is worth watching for sure, season1 is good, but I am a bit sceptical when it comes to season 2, as it could seam they will keep going as its a success, which makes me worry a little for a very thin plot in it, but only time will tell about that.

The acting and the scenes in this show is classic action with a bit of darkness, this suits my expectations perfectly for this kind of show. Main Character Jon Bernthal (playing Frank Castle aka The Punisher) isnt entirely unkown, the name did not ring a bell for me, but when seeing him perform it was like I knew ive seen him somewhere before, and apparently he has been in many well known movies, and is overall a good actor.

The punisher takes place after his family has been murdered, and Frank Castle has after that "cleaned up" the streets by becomming a vigilante that killed everyone who have had something to do with his family's murder. After some time in the shadows, new evidence comes up that he is not done avenging his family yet.

For TV-Shows it is quite alright to check out the trailer, depending on the age of the trailer, as you can easily get fooled and finding a quick recap of the first season of the show, and that would kinda suck.
So when watching trailers for tv-shows, be sure it is one of the first trailers that came out, to ensure there are not too many spoilers, but still informfull enough to give you an idea about the show
