🎬 Must See TV Shows - Part 5 - The Last Ship

in #movies7 years ago

What if a deadly disease was suddently spread all over the world?

We have now come to part 5, in my journey of finding you the best tv shows out there worth to check out.

As there are a huge list of tv-shows it can be very hard to figure out what to watch, and what is simply not worth the time, and time can be very important and critical, I know that for me time isnt something that grows on trees, I probably have time to watch a tops of 2 hours entertaintment per day that I choose, and this time normally falls on tv-shows, as it is easier to find time to watch an episode rather than watching an entire movie, thats how it is for me having twins and a wife that spends up almost all of my time.

The show I can recommend watching today is: THE LAST SHIP

Episode runtime: 40 minutes.
Seasons: 3 complete season - season 4 running now.
Show started: 2014 - Still running
Genrer: Adventure, Sci-Fi, Drama, Action.
Stars: Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin
Show Creator: Steven Kane (the closer), Hank Steinberg (without a trace) - Michael Bay as executive producer.
Availability: streaming available at Hulu.
Imdb/Rotten tomatoes: 7,5 & 58% / 84%

The audience surely likes this alot more than the critics.

This show started when there was a break from my regular tv-shows, I was very very sceptical towards it, just by the name I was like (hmm a show about a ship, how boring could that be) but after looking at the cast seeing Adam Baldwin, I thought ok then lets give this one a try. Im actually glad I did as even after 3 season im still looking forward to watch the next episode weekly, as it apparently is more exciting than I thought it would be.

The last ship has a story baseline that goes on that virus outbreak, but in each season, there is a new "story within the story" and you cant compare each season to eachother because they are so much different from eachother, and I find it getting better and better as the story expands more and more leaving more posibilities. Another thing I like about this show is that it is realistic, meaning it is actually something that could happen someday, which makes it interesting.

The story centers upon a crew of a US Naval Ship, that is out on a mission, when suddently a deadly virus hits the entire world, taking out alot of the population, and it is now upto the crew on the Nathan James (name of the ship) to find a cure and save humanity, and as there is noone to communicate with from the base, they have no idea what they can face when/if returning to land.

For TV-Shows it is quite alright to check out the trailer, depending on the age of the trailer, as you can easily get fooled and finding a quick recap of the first season of the show, and that would kinda suck.
So when watching trailers for tv-shows, be sure it is one of the first trailers that came out, to ensure there are not too many spoilers, but still informfull enough to give you an idea about the show

I just watched this trailer, and I was like WTF!? maybe because the show has evolved alot since it started, but the trailer doesnt affect how the show is that much.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and will consider watching this tv-show, as this is deffinently one of the better tv-shows out there.

In the reviews that I make, I try not to give out too much information, and keep the spoilers away, there is nothing fun about watching something and knowing everything in advance, not quite the same as watching it fresh.

Feel free to follow for more tv-series recommendations, as there are plenty more on the way.

I will try as much possible to make 1 tv-show recommendation daily, so stay tuned, as you might find the next tv-show on my blog :)

Thank you for reading.
