🎬 Must See TV Shows - Part 1 - American Horror Story

You probably know there are tons of TV-series out there, and you have probably seen many many shows where you feel like you have wasted your time. I will in the next upcomming weeks write about TV-series that are good, and are simply "must see"
With a fulltime + a part time job, and a set of 5year old twins and a wife, well my freetime is very little and its not every day I can just watch a movie, which is why tv-series are very good to me, as its only 20-60 minuts of dedication, but the content im watching has to be good and interesting, so this is my help to you on finding good tv-series to spend a little time on.

As I have just finished writing about Horror Movies, (more will probably come as there is some possibly good ones being made) I think the best way to move to TV-Series is by starting with: American Horror Story

A thing i like about American Horror Story, is that 1 season is its own story, as normally with tv-shows you have to watch all episodes, which is not neccessary in this case.

Episode runtime: 1 hour pr episode
Seasons: So far 6 seasons has been released so far, and season 7 launches in september 2017.
Show started: 2011
Genrer: Horror, Thriller, Drama.
Stars: Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lady Gaga (no shit).
Availability: Currently running on Netflix.
Imdb/Rotten tomatoes: It looks like they agree overall that this is a tv-show in the good end of the scale on both sites. see below.

In overall, I like watching American horror story, there was 1 season that didnt get all my attention because it was a little sucky In my oppinion. The rest of the seasons so far are however very interesting, and to pick a favourite, the first season was the best. I like the fact that one season equals to one story, so you don't have to remember what happened 6 seasons ago, and you can actually browse the seasons and watch the one you find most interesting, thats pretty cool right?
There is however smaller things that connects all the seasons together, but its so far nothing important at all. What you probably dont see is that it is the same actors they use in the different seasons, just with other roles, I didn't actually notice this untill season 5.

As this is one story pr season, there isnt a specific storyline as they are all different, as there currently are 6 seasons I will write about them individually

Season 1 - Murder house:
This season follows the Harmon family who moved to Los Angeles, as the wife (Vivien) had a miscarriage, and Ben had an affair with one of his students. They move to an old Victorian house where the ones who lived there before died in the house. As they settle into their new home, strange things starts to happen and only gets worse and stranger.

Season 2 - Asylum:
This season takes place in Massachusetts, 1964, in an insane asylum lead by Dr. Arden who is a former Nazi that does very odd experiments. Theese experiments are conducted on the patients, after a young man is commited here, a local reporter is eager to find out what is going on.

Season 3 - Coven:
This season is about witches, following a coven of Salem descendants that takes place in a special academy in New Orleans. This is about wichcraft, revenge, and envy, and follows the witches events with real danger, and about the meaning of a Supreme Witch.

Season 4 - Freak Show:
This season takes place in Florida, 1952, and follows "the last of its kind" a freakshow called Fräulein Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities. This is owned by Elsa Mars, who collects whats not normal for her show, and she comes across coinjoined twins Bette and Dot who has all their lives been hidden from the world, but is now out in the open as their mother has died being murdered, and she insist on them to become an addition to her freakshow, where nothing is normal.

Season 5 - Hotel:
This season takes place in a hotel called Hotel Cortez, in Los Angeles. This hotel is however not a normal hotel, the service is strange and its wickedly haunted. Everyone checking in at this hotel has a certain backstory that is told, and a detective sees to investigate some crimes that has happend on this strange hotel.

Season 6 - Roanoke:
This season follows a couple from Los Angeles (Matt and Shelby) who sets to move to North Carolina into an old house, where they get haunted by strange and paranormal things, which is reenacted by actors for a paranormal documentary.

Normally I would say don't watch the trailer, especially for horror movies. But when it comes to TV Shows, it doesn't really do as much damage than it does to a movie, so for tv shows it can be a good idea to watch the trailer, as it can be a longer commitment ( a movie is like 2 hours, while a tv show can be episodes going on for several years), so it is deffinently a go for trailers on tv-shows, it is minimalistic what it can spoil for you, id say they give a good overview regarding the show.

As American Horror Story is 1 story pr season, there is alot of trailers, I did however find a teaser for all 6 seasons that you can watch, it will give you an idea about the tv show.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and will consider watching this tv-show, as this is deffinently one of the better tv-shows out there.

In the reviews that I make, I try not to give out too much information, and keep the spoilers away, there is nothing fun about watching something and knowing everything in advance, not quite the same as watching it fresh.
