🎬 Must See TV Shows - Part 2 - Preacher

Welcome to part 2 of "Must See TV Shows"

You probably know there are tons of TV-series out there, and you have probably seen many many shows where you feel like you have wasted your time. I will in the next upcomming weeks write about TV-series that are good, and are simply "must see"
With a fulltime + a part time job, and a set of 5year old twins and a wife, well my freetime is very little and its not every day I can just watch a movie, which is why tv-series are very good to me, as its only 20-60 minuts of dedication, but the content im watching has to be good and interesting, so this is my help to you on finding good tv-series to spend a little time on.

But for now I want to move away from the Horror genrer and go to.. well something else, which is why the recommended tv show today is: PREACHER

Episode runtime: about 40-60 minuts pr episode
Seasons: 1 complete season, and season 2 is running now.

I started watching Preacher when it started on TV, as I had in advance read a little about it and seen a trailer, and at the time I didnt have many shows that I was watching, so I figured I could give it a go. Now when I think of Preacher, the first thing that comes to mind is "Arseface" :)

I think the cast, the storyline, the humor all together fits me quite well, If you are thinking what do you mean with arseface? well see the trailer. There is lots of sarcasm in this show, and a whole lot of dark humor which fits perfectly for the tone in the show, and as Seth Rogen has a finger on this show, then that might give you a decent idea on what kind of humor.

This is one of those shows that I watch as soon as it is possible to watch, and not one of those you "save for later" it is very entertaining and sometimes leaves some good "cliffhangers" for next episode, and leaves you wanting another episode. You might want to give Preacher around 3 episodes to decide, instead of just evaluating it on the pilot episode, its one of those shows that becomes better and better throughout the season.

Preacher centeres on a preacher who has come home to his hometown from where he has been away from for a long time due to criminal activity. His father was a preacher, and he wants to now leave the crime behind and go in his fathers footsteps as a preacher. This will however be a challenge and he comes to meet the supernatural.

Normally I would say don't watch the trailer, especially for horror movies. But when it comes to TV Shows, it doesn't really do as much damage than it does to a movie, so for tv shows it can be a good idea to watch the trailer, as it can be a longer commitment ( a movie is like 2 hours, while a tv show can be episodes going on for several years), so it is deffinently a go for trailers on tv-shows, it is minimalistic what it can spoil for you, id say they give a good overview regarding the show.

In the reviews that I make, I try not to give out too much information, and keep the spoilers away, there is nothing fun about watching something and knowing everything in advance, not quite the same as watching it fresh.
