The first book of my series has officially finished its journey through steemit, all five hundred plus pages and sixty seven chapters.
For those of you who have read it, I cannot thank you enough for sharing in this adventure with me. The support you've shown through comments and votes, and all of the encouragement is beyond measure.
A special thanks goes out to @therealpaul, @jedau, @kiwideb, @verbal-d, @meesterboom, and @ezzy, as well as all of the silent readers who completed (or are near to completing) this with me. You are the inspiration for me to continue on, I love you all.
I'm hopeful by the time it is all said and done I will be able to call it a masterpiece, and I know all of you will help in making it so. There is still a long ways to go, in terms of the rest of the series, but also editing and revisions that have yet to be made on book one. However I'm excited about the process from start to finish and I know I'll get there.
Book Two "Renewal" will make its debut in seven to ten days time. During this period I'll be putting forth a new series called 'dreemit's world', a real world blog about the incredible area in which I live, from waterfalls to insane asylums, vast lakes to centuries old cemeteries, nature trails to native american culture, Amish markets, wineries, breweries, distilleries, cideries, parks, gorges, the house of Harriet Tubman, the small city that is Cornell University and much, much more.

It is my plan to alternate between the two, so what you should expect from here on out is about three chapters of Renewal per week and three episodes of dreemit's world.
For those of you who are new to this, Reborn is the first of what will be a five book series entitled The Allies of Old. As stated above, the second novel is also complete and will begin on steemit shortly. The third book is fully plotted and nearly half-written, and there are pages and pages of notes for the final two.
So who are the allies of old?
Humans, Vampires, Faerians, Lyncane-or wolf shifters, and more- who once upon a time banded together to fight the common enemy of the Shadow demons-engaging in many battles and ultimately war that ended in victory for these heroes.
But it has been many centuries since the demons presented a real threat to the world, and in these modern times most are oblivious to the danger lurking just beyond their perception, and mankind has reduced both their allies and enemies to fairy tales and boogie men.
Signs are beginning to appear that allude to this threat rising in power once more, but with the alliances largely broken and those still continuing the fight few and far between, the human race is on the precipice of a grave danger that could threaten their very existence.
And so it is of dire need for the allies to gather together once more.
Ancient prophesies will soon begin to surface, one in particular that speaks of a unifying force initiated by the unlikeliest of beings...

I've just been sharing your account with a friend who has been writing three books and I'm trying to get her to post them on Steemit.
Hopefully seeing your success will encourage her to start a Steemit account!
I was literally staring at my replies when this showed up, lol. That's awesome! I'm glad if I'm of help, definitely show her that chapter that broke a hundred bucks!! If you have her read this comment then:
"This place is amazing. I have been here six months and it's one of the best decisions I have ever made. There is something incredible about being able to interact with the people reading your story in this way, I never realized that I would be in a position where I would be doing that :)"
Also, I'm not sure if it works different in NZ but here in the states we have something called a bitpay card that works just like a debit/atm card. Two of my friends use it, transferring bitcoin and other cryptocurrency onto it, and not only can they use it at stores and online, but they can even take out money from the ATM without any fees. I have a card on the way to me, that will hopefully arrive by the end of the week, so I will be doing a post as soon as I make my first purchase using money earned from steemit.
Not that I plan to use much, I want that account to keep building! But I think it would make a great marketing post, to show people that it's the real deal.

I miss her, I had such a hectic few weeks after I almost lost my dad, who has bounced back incredibly and thankfully, I haven't had the time I usually do to talk with her. But things are getting back to normal. I was thinking I would chat her now, but I'm realizing it's what, close to midnight where you are? Is she sleeping? I will leave her a chat either way :) I love your woman. You're pretty cool too, hee hee ;)
Yes it was getting a bit late - not midnight but about 10pm and we went downstairs to watch American Gods - that was one of my favourite books and the TV series is amazing.
How you do the amount of writing, posting, and commenting you do is beyond me!
It took me eight months to grasp that to get anywhere on Steemit it's essential to post new comments and not just respond to comments on my own posts.
Thanks for saying I'm pretty cool - I'm not exactly the master of PR - except in that new Kiwi post - that is me trying my best at marketing, and I can see I'll have to resist the urge to do conspiracy posts sad do more posts like that.
I'm a bit slow at typing, (but faster with images), so knocking out a post takes me ages. I just made a list of all my ideas for posts and there is 220 of them...

THIS is the recap that I've been urging you to do, my friend! The copy was just so perfectly script, it really captured the essence of the first book. You've really set the series up nicely.
Posting a table of contents to wrap the whole story up was my plan as well. Kindred spirits do think alike! I'm really going to miss reading this book. It's fortunate that the sequel is on its way! :D

So, there will be a unifying force by the unlikeliest of beings? Well, I'm already fully involved and intrigued so bring it on, my friend! And might I also add a side note about the time, effort and hardship required to write one complete novel, let alone five. No easy feat by any means and I think a serious congratulations is in order for achieving such a monumental task.

It's a gift to interact with other writers and novelists, no one else truly understands what goes into creating a world in this way, and before steemit the only serious authors I've ever met were briefly at writing or book conventions. This connection means a great deal to me, I'm so glad I stumbled on you near the beginning of my time here!
I have a recommendation for you-I stumbled on this young man a while back. His chapters in the beginning are extremely short-which is good for the ease in which anyone can catch up, but they are starting to lengthen a bit now and the story is super intriguing, very well written, and right up your alley. I'm proud of you and your amazing stories, thank you for the chance to be part of this, and part of your world. The back stories and depth of Reborn is really amazing. I'm excited about seeing the dreemit world stories to come too, sounds like some fun there.

Yessss.... it's been ten days so my timing is impeccable if indeed you are planning to release the first chapter of the second novel tomorrow. I will sleep now and wake up tomorrow hopeful of a new chapter. But in the mean time I'll definitely be checking out your Dreemit World posts, it sounds fascinating as well, especially the insane asylums lol
Great job on this first release of your novel, you will get it to where you need it to be, to call it the masterpiece in your eyes, in my eyes everything is there and with some help we will refine it even more.
It will probably be two or three more days before I release the first chapter. I had a scare with my dad this morning. He didn't stop breathing, but my mom couldn't get him to wake up . so he had an ambulance ride to the hopsital. They think an infection caused his brain to swell, they gave him antibiotics and he finally did wake up and said a few words that let us know his mind was still there. His vitals are stable but he's weak and lethargic. We won't know more until tomorrow. I had a bit of an experience at the lake after I left the hospital and was waiting for more news, which I'm going to post.
