Burleigh Brewing Company

Alcohol Content:

Beer Type:

Coffee Lager

History:

The Burleigh Brewing Company was born in 2006, pioneering the craft beer movement on the Gold Coast, Australia. After 10 years of steady growth, the locally grown company had to move into a larger premises and now produces 9 specialty beers. Every step of the brewing process from brewing to packaging is completed onsite, nothing is outsourced. Located not too far from where I live, this is a brewery and local company that I am pleased to support.

Drinkers Review:

This brew was created in conjunction with Zaraffa's Coffee on the Gold Coast of Australia.
With it's strong, bold flavours and plenty of bitterness, it was enjoyable enough to drink although having a full 650ml bottle might be a bit much by yourself, but I gave it a nudge! I'd classify it as a fantastic winter sipper where you pour a glass and tuck up next to a fire with a thick book and enjoy. But as the winter nights here are pretty balmy, I just kept pouring glass after glass until I had finished the bottle! I found it pretty enjoyable actually. The actual beer flavour is very clean, and it lets the coffee shine through. However I can’t help but wonder whether this would have been better with a slightly more complex base beer. Anyway, if you can find these anymore, grab a bottle to try it out!

BTW you have done a big list of reviews in beers :)

Wow... that beer... loved all kind of beer. Must try black giraffe too.

Black Giraffe is a great beer, it seems to have been around since before the coffee in beer craze, which means it did it well.

I quite a fan of Black Giraffe. It's one of the few coffee largers I've ever tried.

I'm not really a beer person, but I try to taste other people's beer when I travel. I want to move to Australia right about now :D
