Murray's Craft Brewing Co.

10.0%

Russian Imperial Stout
History:
Murray's Brewery was founded in 2006 at Taylors Arm, west of Nambucca Heads, but made the move south in 2009 when they relocated to god’s country, aka Bobs Farm, Port Stephens. Beginning as a microbrewery at Taylor's Arm's infamous 'Pub with no Beer' (of Slim Dusty fame), the popularity of it's brews resulted in the brewery quickly outgrowing the 'Pub with no Beer', resulting in the relocation. It now shares it's home with Port Stephens Winery, showcasing beer and wine together.

Murray’s Wild Thing Imperial Stout is available for purchase in:
330mL bottles
Drinkers Review:
This brew pours the deepest brown with almost no head. The earthy hops, caramel and roasty notes, all battle it out for dominance in the aroma giving this stout a super rich and smooth touch on the palate. The flavour starts out chocolatey, then the slightly astringent roastiness comes through with the bitterness flowing through at the end. Overall this beer is great and the high ABV is barely noticeable to taste, but after a couple you really feel its kick send you into overdrive. This is one of the best brews I have tasted and, if you have read my previous reviews, would know that I love a great stout.
If you can get your hands on a few, crack one open, pour it into an icy glass and sit back, relax and savour the richness this great drop has to offer.

Beer, the goodness that froths and refreshes!
Thanks for reading.
I've never tried stout beer, always going for something more light and refreshing. At 5 out of 5, this one must be the business!!

Murray's produce great beers across the range from mid strengths, great hop monsters and stouts. Wild thing being one of the great Australian stout beers - definitely 5 out of 5 worthy.
