Steemit Newbies Steembasicincome Sponsorship Program

Last week seen an overwhelming surge of people who applied, not everyone could get one. If you did not receive a reply at all from your previous entry you MAY REUSE IT. After a bit of a break we are ready to get back to helping newbies and anyone else we can. We are going to try to stick to 3-5 SBI shares given out per day.

With all the applicants I will give a hint to help you move up the line and make yourself stand out. For a better chance at winning include a link to your introduction post and the post you are most proud of.

Steemit can be a difficult place to start out on these days I'm told, unless you know someone who has been on the platform for a long time or spend some money on a little Steem Power. Getting a post to pay out at all can be a difficult task. I won't even try to go into details of what is wrong with steemit, I don't think I have a clue anyways, instead I will try and help do something about it. We are going to try this every day for 30 days, giving out 3 or more sponsorships into steembasicincome.

@steembasicincome is a social experiment implementing a voting bot system that you can get sponsored shares into. When you receive sponsorship you will get regular upvotes from their bot to support your posts. It is easy to see the benefits of sponsorship, you can find out the details of steembasicincome here.

Ok so you know what steembasicincome is now (maybe), how can we get it here for free?

In the comments below tell me how having a steembasicincome would help you. At least three will be selected for enrollment in steembasicincome. You can be selected more than once but preference will be given to unsponsored applicants.

If you have already entered, feel free to do so again, if you have previously won, maybe talk about how getting an extra vote helps, talk about what you get, or explain how getting more could help. Take a look at @papacrushers replys, he's a pro at this.

Preference will be given to steemians who:

Have a proper introduction post

Have put in an effort to post regularly

Posts quality content (subjective)

Interacts with and support others

Have a reputation above 25 but below 55 (Not required)

Support this post with an upvote or resteem (Not required)

So tell me your steemit story, let me in on how difficult it can be.

Share with us your reasons for being on the platform, explain your plights. Not everyone will be selected everyday, so show me that you really want it. Who knows, maybe you will find some followers too. Three or more of you will be enrolled and hopefully your steemit journey will be a little easier.

My name is Omi and I joined in 2017, left, and returned when some of my friends signed up so I could support them. It looks very different around here already and I'm happy to support my friends on the platform and be supported as well. I can't believe I've already gotten 100 followers.

Steambasicincome will help me with small initiatives I have to support my friends and new friends I make on steemit. I hope to sponsor people one day also, upvote good posts, and just continue to use steemit in a time worthy manner.

I invested a small amount into the platform hoping I can support others with a few cents per post. Now I'm seeing the more my account is worth the more support I can offer other authors. So I'm hoping to build my account.

Hi, my name is Micaël and I really like the concept of basic income. I think humanity will require it to live happy when automation reatch a point where there isn't jobs for everyone which already started.

I joined Steem seing it's potential and I do my besst to produce quality content in the Steem french community. I also try to convince content creators to join Steem by helping them initially with support, votes and SteemPower delegation. Which is what I did for @studio666, @yveslanthier, @simple-citoyen and will continue to convince people to join the Steem community.

I jointes the SteemBasicIncome few weeks ago and hope it will grows.

Knowing no one in Steem when I joined, I had the extra complexity of learning by myself both Steem and cryptocurrencies and purchase a small amout of Steem to have some Steem Power. Which is why the month of January wasn't really productive.

Je nes pas parle francis, but I support my Quebec brothers. Today your sponsor will be me, @tmholdings.

Thanks a lot, I don,t know what a sponsor do but thanks ;)

Thanks again for you help Mike, I hope you win that contest, you truly deserve it!

Thanks André, you should compete too, you would deserve to win that contest too!

I was sponsored through #upfundme. But nothing happened. I dont understand how it works. Help me?

Actually something wonderful happened, you were added to one of @steembasicincome's voting bots and are receiving a vote on every post from @sbi3. It is a small vote because you only have 1 share in the program, it takes a few before you can see much result.

I am going to sponsor you (pay for another share) today giving you your second share in #steembasicincome, the vote you receive from @sbi3 should increase because of this new share when they do the next round of changes.

I didn't know that. Thank you!

I have been a travel writer for years but never got a lot of traction. When I found Steemit, I thought it would be a great opportunity to get involved with a community and potentially make a little on the side. What I have found is I really like the community. I have met a lot of great people with a lot of stories to tell. That is what has kept me going more than anything. Aside from travel writing, I am an underwater archaeologist, scuba instructor and photographer.

I think the sponsorship would be a great addition to the community experience I have had so far.

My introduction post can be found here.

Thanks so very much LVX.

I love cars, i mean i really do. Doesn´t matter if its that old Golf, that american V8 or an italian supercar. Driving to me is an expression of freedom and i feel imprisoned right now. I love to see and hear them in action and would really like to share my impressions.

My dream right now is to attend like every kind of event with cars and get back into photographing cars, also to make cool car art.

My start is gonna be a bit rough this season, since i will probably only be able to use my smartphone in the first place because my Camera that i bought last year from the few money i had got stolen :(

Already made a small post about some random cars i found outside my livingroom.

Next to come is will be about a really cool Hot Hatch car from an underdog brand, but with a ton of enthusiasm built into it.

I delivered: https://steemit.com/cars/@cldgrf/the-hot-hatch-gang-1-hyundai-i30n-savagegarage this is also my favourite post from me by now.

Winning a sponsorship would help me to better grow a sustainable income here on steemit to make better content!

I got introduced to steemit by a friend, still trying to understand Steemit gradually, it not as easy as I thought it would be, I got discouraged at a point my posts could nt reach a wild audience, and still few people get to see it,that one of the greatest challenge for newbies. I hope I would get enrolled.

I came to sttemit in hopes of making a more independent lifestyle. My wife and i got 14 acres in the ozarks we want to tend but after moving here, weve had to get jobs a long way away in order to keep the lights on.
When i found out about steemit, i thought this could be an avenue for at least one of us, if not both, to quit our jobs. The market has been very low but i am in hopes that it will blow up this year!

I fully support your dreams of freeing yourself and loved one from the bonds of a regular job. On that merit alone you will be sponsored today by @blem.

Hi, I'm Aiyumi, a woman from Brazil. I'm a Perl programmer, Linux user, and fan of anime and video games despite being visually impaired. I've never had much luck with social network sites, but after @ayza - a talented artist and a reader of one of my video game fan fictions - sent me a link to her Steemit profile page, I became interested in Steemit. I came across some quality posts, the community seemed nice, and this pulled me in. Some more info about me on my introduction post.

I've been here for just a month, and am enjoying the community and discovering a lot of great content. But I'm also feeling how hard it is for us newbies to have our content found. I've never had any illusions that I'd get rich on Steemit or anything, but as someone who reads and comments on other people's posts more than I write my own, I wish my upvote were worth more so that I could better show my support for the great authors I find. It's disheartening to press the upvote button, only to have the post value remain the same. For now, just aiming to reach the point I'll be able to reach 22 SP and give 0.01 upvotes. Right now, you may see that I have 215 SP if you look at my wallet, but this is because I unexpectedly won second place at a contest last week (here's the post where I talk about it in more detail. Proud of the achievement, but this isn't my best post), and the prize was a 200 SP delegation for one week! This means I could get a taste of the other side! It's like a dream! ... And like a dream, it'll come to an end soon. In two days, the magic will end, and I'll be back to the new users' default starting 15 SP... so, I still believe being in Steembasicincome would help a bit on my journey towards 22 SP!

Here's my favorite post so far. It's about the Busy.org site, basically a different interface to Steemit with more features:

Thank you for this opportunity!

Oh, thank you! My first SBI share, finally! :D

And my favorite is Slackware Linux. Certainly not a common choice!

I ran slacko puppy on a few older devices for a while, tested slackware after that but it didn't like my onboard sound.

How ironic! One of the reasons I went with Slackware was because it was the only distro that liked my onboard sound :P . I had tried some other distros' live CDs, and sound didn't work in any of them because their ALSA versions were too old. I was interested in Slackware already, and tried one live Slackware-based distro (it was a Brazilian distro called ImagineOS, but it doesn't exist anymore), and sound surprisingly worked. I confirmed that the ALSA version in the original Slackware was the same as in the derivative distro, and that was that.

I have a post about how I started using Slackware on my personal blog (though I didn't mention the bit about ImagineOS there):

http://aiyumi.warpstar.net/en/blog/how-i-started-using-linux/

The post is very old, though. It was published in 2011 and contains a translated mailing list message from 2009! So, a lot has changed!

As for something more up-to-date, I've recently written a review of Slint Linux, the Slackware-based distro that I began using this year:

http://aiyumi.warpstar.net/en/blog/slint-linux-review/

May add to this idea in some way in the future. Like the idea and may be able to help some in our #steemitla group of newer users.

#steembasicincome could help a lot of people if it's done right. One or two shares isn't going to do much but if you can give them out over time they add up. It really helps that giving a share also gives you a share

Steemit Community is not as easy as you think of. In my first day here in steemit, it made me dismayed coz only few steemians could read my post. I feel like this platform is not for me. But days have passed when one of the known people here in steemit appreciated mine and got resteemed. I got so inspired that I want to post again. I thought that it will be resteemed again. I feel low. But I still want to post til steemians could read mine too. 🙏🙏🙏
