Hahahahaha. I have seen a mutant tomato like this before. What makes them to get attacked like this?.
Could it be a virus acting locally or a small amount of some irritating chemical chancing upon a certain point on the surface?
Could be, but i have no idea.
It is interesting that I had the same tailed tomatoes and even aubergines this year. I think ecology is to blame for everything.

Nice to see these beautiful tomato
I wonder what causes such defects, or variations, in the shape of tomatoes? I haven't noticed differences in the proportion of oddly shaped ones among tomatoes of different sizes you find in supermarkets.
