Raw Sunflower Seeds My Experience dailyfoodphotography

Raw sunflower seeds are a staple food for me. I use them all the time in my cooking to add:

  • protein
  • fat
  • vitamins and minerals
  • variety
    to my diet.

Sunflower seeds are high in Selenium, which is hard to get from other sources. I also eat Brazil nuts for that mineral, but they are expensive and sunflowers seeds are much cheaper.

A good thing about sunflower seeds is that they are easy to find. I get mine from a lot of different health food and groceries stores. Amazon has a good deal on sunflower seeds if you want to get a lot of them.

I do not normally eat these raw as they are hard on my stomach. I soak them and roast them for best results. I will soon post some posts about how I do that.
