Panoramic Window View of Downtown Los Angeles on November 1st 2018 Vol. 23: early bird catches the Halloween aftermath.

Like the title says, it's the day after Halloween. I'm running another errand to downtown LA fashion District. I already have a lot happening this day so I'm out earlier this time.

Traffic is a lot lighter because it's earlier than usual. It's still very busy, but less congestion overall. Sidestreets are better at this time of the day. Less stopping and less merge lane confusion like the freeway. I would rather go the speed limit on side streets and time the lights.

Fyuck! I watch people cut each other off, forget to signal, and merge like they're being chased by a tsunami.

🚦The lights are timed to create a flow. We can't outrun the flow of traffic or the lights efficiently unless we break the law. Some people don't want to break the law. Let's stop tailgating.

🚎 The most ironic part of side Street, are the buses. People tailgate each other and also the buses. When the bus stops to pickup passengers, cars (tailgaters) get stuck behind it. The bus is partially blocking the right lane of a street that was created for much different traffic patterns. Cars try to shift over to the left lane real quick and crest dangerous situations. I've seen many "close calls."

☠️ Hesitation, short foresight, and tailgating... it's just a senseless struggle to get around a bus, only to arrive at a red light 500 ft later, while creating danger?! ☠️

Wow, look at this...

it's the difference between leaving at 8 AM and 10 PM. I think the best times to travel to Downtown LA would be between 930 and 10 o'clock.

This city is kinda nice early in the morning. These are some of my morning sites:

Hey look at this parking lot!

I wonder what's reserved the entire parking lot again? Let's see the parking lot from above.

Even the parking lot across the street is rented out for an event.

I must have been distracted by the pop up event when I took the main panoramic shot below. This was all a build up for the "big money" skyline panoramic shot of downtown LA...

and I cut off the tops of some buildings.

I guess I was distracted by the party scene preparation in the parking lot.

Oh well, I have more. Let's finish this first.

 

I thought it was over too, but then I drove past some famous alley art...

and a guy hiding so that he can do drugs.
