Panoramic Window View of Downtown Los Angeles on September 11th 2018 Vol. 20: Skyline From The Fashion District
Today is a short trip. I avoided a little traffic on the way in and I plan to leave quickly to avoid the build-up.
Everything seems "normal." Los Angeles and it's fashion district is full of people. Parking is probably more difficult because the metered area is under construction. I'm going to park in the alley and trust that LADOT doesn't appear to take my money.

1. We can see a progression with this building if we put all my panoramic shots together... maybe someday.
2. I don't know the name of this one... it's really dark. I tried to look for it... a bank maybe... I definitely don't care now. "Stupid bank building" is what we can call it.
3. This is a famous building in LA. Iconic for this skyline in my opinion. It's called "Equinox Downtown LA."
4. This is the construction that I avoided by parking in the loading zone of the alley. Look double white car!

Been to LA once, brought my truck surfboard and a bag of weed. Big one I still had plenty for the trip home after staying for two weeks.
The whole trip is long story I will let you wonder what I was up to. I didn't surf much the water was so polluted it grossed me out, made me sick every time I got in.
Been back a few times never spent more than a week
I like my wide open spaces with no crowds, it is a more predictable environment.
Sounds like a fun story. I know a few people that want nothing more.
The best way to avoid crowds is early morning in LA. After 1230pm... get ready for tailgating, no signals, rushing to reds, illogical merge speeds, senseless lane changers and a buch of all-phones-and-no-goes parked at a green light for fbook. It’s dumb.
Serenity? Some people only know vehicular serenity.

Oh look! Double white car! And the other gray car looks like one of those smart cars. You know? The little bitty cars?
Oh yeah and that grey car is actually very stretched out it’s not suppose to be a limousine!
I've driven through LA once when I attended a friend's wedding in Newport Beach.
The ghettos there seemed to be much more colorful than the ones around Philly.
Yikes, NewPort is millions of freeways away. Why? Trying to see Santa Monica and Venice Beach? Malibu? China Town!
It's <50 miles journey. Another friend who was also attending the wedding just wanted to check out the surrounding area since he got hired by a company in the area. So, we drove into LA and back.
50 miles takes longer here than most places. It’s currently 7:39am pst and it takes 1hr 29min to go from Newport to LA (44 miles).
I hope you had fun though it’s lots of fun driving the freeways at night or early Sunday mornings.
Lots of good food along that route too. Please let me know if you ever visit again. I’m a decent tour guide for food and pinball and long vistas and palisades and hiking trails Korean barbecue and coffee and stuff.
Oh and I sounds like you drove past some of the best donuts in the world. 🍩
