Lykke Exchange now listing STEEM
Steemit Inc has announced that Swiss exchange Lykke is now listing STEEM/USD and STEEM/BTC as trading pairs.
The exchange wallet is available on Android and iOS. It requires standard KYC (Know Your Customer) verification of identity to set up an account.
It is understood that Lykke services are not available to the residents of US, Canada, Japan, Australia.
New Netcoins App for more Fiat to STEEM options
Canada based Netcoins has launched a new app that provides more fiat to STEEM exchange options.
The Netcoins app allows for fiat to Steem purchases via wire transfer, in native CAD, USD and EUR currencies. There is also the option to purchase using your credit cards if you live in the US or Europe.
The fee is only 3%.
@crimsonclad has produced a video demonstrating the app.
Onwards and upwards for Drugwars
Despite being launched less than two weeks ago the steem based Drugwars game now has well over 5000 user accounts.
To help keep pace with the rapid growth and development of the game Drugwars have brought in @fabien as Chief Technical Officer (CTO). Fabien has previously worked on Busy and more recently SteemConnect.
Creator and original developer of DrugWars @hightouch is now the CEO of Drugwars and the CEO of Futureshock, the parent company of Drugwars, Fundition and OnGame.
Join the 60 Seconds of Steem Social Media Party
Following on from her recent 60 Seconds of Steem promotional video contest @surfermarly is coordinating a 'Social Media Party' asking people to share and promote their favourite "60 Seconds" video entry across their social media.
The event kicks of at 3pm UTC / 10am EST on Wednesday 20 February and runs for one week.
The promotion is being supported by Oracle-D...
The death of Steepshot?
@vaultec is reporting on the apparent demise of Steepshot.
There has been nothing on their blog for 3 months, there appears to have been nothing on the app for 5 days and the @steepshot account is powering down...
New service for tracking steem/sbd transfers in games
Witness and developer @holger80 has created a new service @bookkeeping which returns the STEEM/SBD transfer balance for the @drugwars, @steemmonsters, @magicdice, @steemslotgames and @steembet.
ENGAGE with tokens
Curation and Engagement League master @abh12345 has begun issuing his new ENGAGE tokens created on Steem-Engine.com.

oh man, such a shame that steepshot is going ;(
I used Steepshot a bit. Has it been pushed aside by Appics? I've not tried that.
don't think it's a case of being 'pushed aside' i'd say that appics has more of a long term plan/goal/funds and team where as the steepshot team are like a few people i think and it needs audience to use it. i liked steepshot a lot, i hope they open source it or keep developing it. especially if they included video. does make room for another group to come along and do it thou ;)
Appics has looked very slick and well planned.
Do they take a beneficiary cut? I think Steepshot was 15% (?) which was a bit steep...
no idea. the way i look at beneficiary is that development has to be paid somewhere? nothing is truly free. i preferred the steepshot team over appics but i do like the application, works well.
