Steemit Open Mic Week 125 - Original Song 'Rugged Canyons'
This is my submission for this weeks Steemit Open Mic contest by @pfunk and @luzcypher. This week I play an Original Song that I wrote about the East Fork of the San Gabriel river called 'Rugged Canyons'.

I welcome the rain
It makes me feel alive, and washes away my pain
I sit and watch the fire's light
Combusting reactions keep me warm through the night
And the ground is turning green
But the water's moving, ya causing quite a scene
Beneath it treasures move
The search, my purpose, what I do

In rugged canyons is where I roam
City life, it's not for me

I often feel confused
Pointless efforts, getting used
I can not focus but I see
I'm not domesticated, I'm wild and free
In the inside of the bend

Thanks dude. It's definitely "golden". Pun intended. lol. The water is raging up there! It's uncrossable right now. And with the big snow pack it should be pretty high all year. All the prospectors are super stoked for this year. I'm gonna be trying to get up there as soon as it's possible.
