# FORBIDDEN KNOWLEDGE - The ANUNNAKI LEGACY: SEXAGESIMAL NUMERAL SYSTEM

in #knowledge2 years ago

### It is clear that "higher knowledge" has been deliberately hidden from us for thousands of years. Therefore, you and me are beholden to uncover and bring this information out to enlighten the world. To end the battle between knowledge and ignorance. To free us from the obstruction caused by established dogmas and lies; for this knowledge could lead us to a greater understanding of our universe and of ourselves.

Much of what we now know as mathematics, among other things was credited to the Greeks, a civilization that existed from 800 BC to about 100 BC. Trigonometry for example, can be traced to the Greek astronomer, geographer, and mathematician by the name of Hipparchus of Nicaea. He is known as the "the father of trigonometry."

However, thousands of years later, we are just peeling the onions in terms of the true origin of some of the greatest discovery and inventions.

#### Plimpton 322 was actually the world's first trigonometric table

Plimpton 322 (P322) is one of the most sophisticated scientific artifacts of the ancient world, containing 15 rows of arithmetically complicated Pythagorean triples. But the purpose of this table has mostly eluded scholars, despite intense investigation.

The tablet was discovered in the early 1900s in Southern Iraq by the American archaeologist and diplomat Edgar Banks, who was the inspiration for Indiana Jones. Edgar Banks sold the tablet to G.A. Plimpton around 1922 and originally attributed its provenance to Larsa, an ancient Sumerian city near the Persian Gulf. By comparing the style of the script to other OB texts from the region, Robson (2001, 172) has dated it to between 1822 and 1762 B.C.E., which is around the time of Hammurabi.

Physically the tablet is made from clay and measures 12.7 cm by 8.8 cm, with the left-hand edge showing clear evidence of being broken, and indeed remnants of modern glue suggests that the break occurred in recent times.

The numerical complexity of P322 proves that it is not a scribal school text, as many authors have claimed. Instead, P322 is a trigonometric table of a completely unfamiliar kind and was ahead of its time by thousands of years.

What this means is that the Greeks did not invent trigonometry and its related fields. It was the Sumerians who invented it several thousands of years before Greece even existed.

Below is a video of how accurate this system is compared to what we have 4,000 years later:

#### The Sexagesimal (base 60) Numeral System

Sexagesimal (base 60) is a numeral system with sixty as its base. It originated with the ancient Sumerians in the 3rd millennium BC, was passed down to the ancient Babylonians, and is still used to this day n a modified form.

source

The division of the hour into 60 minutes and of the minute into 60 seconds for example, comes from the Babylonians who used a sexagesimal (counting in 60s) system for mathematics and astronomy.

The Sexagesimal system is also used in calculating angles and geographic coordinates.

What is remarkable about this system is that it is far more accurate that our current numerical and geometric systems which have a base of 10. It's easy to understand how we came up with the base 10. Clue - we have 10 fingers.

There are other "numerical bases" other than 60 and 10. The Mayan's for example, uses the vigesimal or base 20 numeral system.

Again, its easy to understand how they came up with the base 20: 10 fingers + 10 toes.

#### Myth and History: Where Do We Draw the Line?

The various ancient Sumerian "mythologies" speaks of over 240,000 years of human history but we, to this day only recognize less than 2.5% of that as "history". The rest are myths and stories invented by creative and lunatic minds.

If the Sumerian civilization only existed since 5,000 BC then how in the world did we learn all this knowledge of mathermatics, engineering, agriculture, animal husbandry and many more in a very short period of time? Is it possible that we could have evolved from being an ape to a civilized human being is less than 2,000 years?

From an evolutionary standpoint, if we shrink the millions of years of evolution into a 360 day period, it took around 30 days for a single cell organism to become a complex animal form like a fish and another 30 days for the fish to grow limbs and lungs and become an ape. But it only took less than a day for an ape to became sentient human being. Its like one day, the ape came out of his cave and not only learn to speak but also begun to build complex structures like the pyramids, learned to calculate the distances between planets and stars, and built sophiticated machineries and instruments that can fly or dive underwater.

Evolution cannot explain the missing link because the answer isn't there. The answer is in the ancient Sumerian tablets we call myths. Why do you think the Sumerians carved all these "myths" in stones and clay tablets that could last for thousands of years rather than paper or even electronic devices as we do now?

I think your posts about the civilization put things in the right perspective: There is no way that people emerging from the Neolithic (New Stone Age) could have created this wonderful civilization 5000 years ago.

True. Sadly, historians and archeologists are still denying 98% of our history.
