Calm down baby! A weekend freewrite
Dear friends
This is the weekend freewrite challenge. I am using @mariannewest’s #weekendfreewrite, to write this piece please read.Several events disturbed Mark that day. I hope you enjoy my fiction story.
Calm down baby
"I gritted my teeth and said nothing."
Whenever something like this happened this was the thought that went through Mark's mind.
While he was in that business meeting, in that place with a lugubrious appearance, he was talking to the owner to negotiate with him the purchase of the entire building.
Mark had previously evaluated the place, concluding that its real estate value would be revalued in a short time.
After maintaining a cordial exchange of ideas, the man finally agreed to make the sale, so they remained silent for a few moments.
Suddenly, the heater kicked in with a loud rumbling noise cutting through the silence.
This interrupted the tranquility of the environment, so the owner commented:
"Mark don't worry, this will stop in a minute, since it's an old heater, it has that behavior."
After the minute the tranquility returned to the place, to celebrate the operation the owner served two cups of tea and chocolate cake, from now on it only remained to be taken into account when he would receive the business money.
To relax the conversation, the owner told Mark about that neighborhood located in the suburbs where many children were alone in their homes.
a child screamed
Mark intrigued, got up from the chair and headed for the room where the screaming came from.
There was a scared little boy who, confused by a bristly cat, called his mother sobbing.
Mark now affectionately approached him and took him in his arms, saying:
"Calm down baby here we are now to take care of you, your mother will soon be here"
