Main street! A fiction

in #freewrite5 years ago

Dear friends

I am pleased to participate in the daily challenge of @mariannewest, Sunday's message: Main street. Mary, Mark's sister with whom we enjoyed her funny adventures, gives him the responsibility of carrying everything related to the franchise. Here continues his story that I hope you enjoy.

Already the next day the group of tourists with whom Mark had traveled had prepared their luggage and were ready to return to the city.

For him the experience had been enriching, knowing that ancestral culture that still remained deep in the jungle marked him. He realized that in the city the ephemeral values with which people lived in a certain way are irrelevant.

At that time he remembered details of the main street where the main headquarters of the franchise was located, with its wide sidewalk surrounded by old buildings. Nearby they had a small park with a neglected garden in which their neighbors were not attentive to their care. So he took the determination to join the municipal team of the city to improve the presentation of his street and give a more striking touch to the park.

Already waiting for the plane that would take them back to civilization the group began to take the last photos of the place, for them these would be unforgettable days in which they managed for a few hours to enjoy a closer contact with nature.

(to be continue...)

@felixgarciap I want to take a trip to the jungle. I could live like they do, no electric, no internet or phone just living off the land.

Me too, an island is fine too as long as the sun shines.

@wakeupkitty when the kids were small the first-week school was out we took them to one of the islands on our river and stayed a week, no electric, it was before cell phones so no phones. The kids always had a good time and so did we. I cooked meals over the campfire. Luckily we fished for a living so we could get ice at the fish house to keep food good in the coolers. Very good times.

@myjob The more time passes by the less skills there are. Life is easier, less worries and you have time to relax for real. Happy day. 💕

Thanks for the good read. We miss you at the ccc contests and your comments. I wish you a great day. 💕
