Business trip! A weekend freewrite
Dear friends
This is the weekend freewrite challenge. I am using @mariannewest’s #weekendfreewrite, to write this piece please read. The fame of the Mary & Mark franchise had spread to other places so they planned to travel to Europe. I hope you enjoy my fiction story.
Business trip
"From a tower window in Nottingham Castle, two men stared down into the moonlit courtyard."
That was telling the passenger who was next to Mark on that commercial flight that already had several hours in the air. Now they Mary and Mark had received an invitation to visit the United Kingdom in order to meet with businessmen who had expressed interest in joining the Mary & Mark franchise.
Being their first trip to Europe, they had a lot of interest in knowing the most emblematic historical sites.
The man continued talking and then Mark asked:
What other interesting places could we visit "?
"They should also know places where Londoners attend during the weekend.
There is usually a picnic with dancing and singing."
Mark told him:
Your proposal sounds very interesting since in my city just during the weekends families gather at the edge of a lake to eat grill and children play in the meadow.
What they talked about was familiar because, despite being two countries separated by an ocean, they shared some customs and with a common language, with some differences.
Shortly after the captain of the plane alerted the passengers that they were approaching Heathrow's airport, Mary began to hurt her head feeling a little unwell.
her ear hurt
Mark, a little worried, told her:
"you should try to put your hand on your ear until your discomfort passes."
She laughing told him:
"Every time I travel by plane this always happens to me, since I was a child I had problems with my ears and the doctors gave me that recommendation"
Already on landing Mary felt a little more relieved, there they were waiting for them at the terminal for their entry into London.
They were surprised by the wide area and the number of passengers circulating.
Mark thought out loud:
"Here we will surely succeed because you see that there is prosperity"
