Lucas 13, 34-35
34 Les doy un mandamiento nuevo: que se amen los unos a los otros. Ustedes deben amarse unos a otros como yo los he amado. 35 En esto reconocerán todos que son mis discípulos: en que se aman unos a otros.»

¿Realmente amamos a nuestro prójimo o somos acaso cómo aquellos que, detrás de un rostro piadoso, esconden una segunda intensión? Amar es un acto de sinceridad, de coherencia, de desprendimiento y de entrega total, así nos lo enseñó Jesucristo que nos amó hasta el extremo de darse en holocausto por el perdón de nuestras culpas. En Su amor sacrificial, Jesús nos enseña a salir de nosotros mismos y a darnos en amor al prójimo ¿sí todos imitáramos el amor de Jesús, el mundo no sería un lugar mejor? ¡Claro que si! y esta es una de las razones por las que es tan importante la misión de anunciar la Buena Nueva en todo el orbe (Mc 16, 15). ¿Te has sentido amado por Jesús? Descubre cuánto te ama Jesús y sabrás entonces cuánto y cómo amar a tu prójimo, imita y comparte con otros el amor y la misericordia que Jesús siente por ti. ¿Te consideras discípulo de Jesús? Ama a tu prójimo aunque las circunstancias intenten forzarte a lo contrario. No hay mejor modelo a imitar, Jesús es el camino la verdad y la vida (Jn 14, 6).

Que el Espíritu Santo, amor del Padre y del Hijo, derrame su santa unción y nos inspire siempre a amar y a dejarnos amar por el prójimo, siguiendo el modelo perfecto de amor y santidad, Jesucristo, nuestro Señor y Salvador. Amén.

John 13, 34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; [o]even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Do we really love our neighbor or are we like those who, behind a pious face, hide a second intention? Loving is an act of sincerity, coherence, detachment and total surrender, as Jesus Christ taught us, who loved us to the point of giving himself as a holocaust for the forgiveness of our faults. In his sacrificial love, Jesus teaches us to come out of ourselves and to give ourselves in love to our neighbor. If we all imitated the love of Jesus, wouldn't the world be a better place? Yes of course! and this is one of the reasons why the mission of proclaiming the Good News throughout the world is so important (Mk 16:15). Have you felt loved by Jesus? Discover how much Jesus loves you and then you will know how much and how to love your neighbor, imitate and share with others the love and mercy that Jesus feels for you. Do you consider yourself a disciple of Jesus? Love your neighbor even if circumstances try to force you to the contrary. There is no better model to imitate, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (Jn 14, 6).

May the Holy Spirit, love of the Father and the Son, pour out his holy anointing and inspire us always to love and let ourselves be loved by our neighbor, following the perfect model of love and holiness, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
