Get angry, but not sin; let their anger not last until sunset, otherwise the devil would be given place.

Reflection

Following Jesus is possible with love, effort, discipline and perseverance, with determination we can break the bonds of sin and we can put on the new man in Christ Jesus. In this verse, the apostle Paul makes it clear to us that it is not a sin to get angry but to persevere in anger, that is, the problem is not the primary emotion of anger, the problem comes when we prolong and feed said emotion with thoughts (mental rumination, reliving the offense that triggered anger over and over again), words (curses, expletives, etc ...) and actions guided by hatred and resentment ... keeping us in anger can lead us to commit serious sins. Let us not lose the peace of Christ, in the face of anger, love and mercy. Let us be slow to anger and quick to forgive. Amen.

Enójense, pero sin pecar; que el enojo no les dure hasta la puesta del sol, pues de otra manera se daría lugar al demonio.

Reflexión

El seguimiento de Jesús es posible con amor, esfuerzo, disciplina y perseverancia, con empeño se pueden romper las ataduras del pecado y podemos revestirnos del hombre nuevo en Cristo Jesús. En este versículo, el apóstol Pablo nos deja claro que no es pecado enojarse sino perseverar en el enojo, es decir, el problema no es la emoción primaria del enojo, el problema viene cuando prolongamos y alimentamos dicha emoción con pensamientos (rumia mental, revivir el agravio que desencadenó el enojo una y otra vez), palabras (maldiciones, improperios, etc...) y acciones guiadas por el odio y el resentimiento... mantenernos en el enojo si que puede llevarnos a cometer graves pecados. No perdamos la paz de Cristo, ante el enojo, el amor y la misericordia. Seamos lentos para enojarnos y rápidos para perdonar. Amén.
